<p>Talking with a friend who appreciated Emma's dialogues quite fondly, due to their highly antagonistic natures in comics, I came to think of Kitty's dialogues, specifically in comparison to how she is portrayed in comics.
</p><p>It's actually really poor.
</p><p>Kitty's character in the game really could not be further from the Kitty I've read. Abrasive, discompassionate, cocky, none of these traits are present in Kitty from comics, yet in the game, they're her strongest personality quirks.
</p><p>Some of the dialogues are either sloppy or written with a totally different voice to the actual character, seemingly just being done by people base the voice off of the characters' artwork. Any standouts that others have seen?

<p>I would say he is rather more arrogant than irreverent. But, at least his dialogues fit him. I won't easily forget his dialogue last Specs Ops :P

<p>What makes me scratch my head is that Playdom's World of Snark writing style fits the Black Knight's canon personality pretty well as-is already (go read Captain Britain & MI13 ("Innocents and the weapons who use them, I could write a book") and Heroes For Hire ("I hate to tell you this, but this is the Central Park Lagoon") especially) and yet they went the opposite route and made him super-serious (and also super-British?).
</p><p>(Also my favorite from the 1990 Black Knight mini: "I'm going to finish this blowhard before he backstories us to death".)
</p><p>Though on the whole the more in-canon snarky the character is, the greater the likelihood that Playdom's voice matches them.
</p><p>While I admittedly don't know if it's canon or not, I do at least love Spiderwoman's dialogue. If only her skills were as good...

I agree. A lot of dialogues feel forced. I find Satana's little amount of dialogue to be quite seductive and a little bit evil. Nicely done.

<p>I heard that in the game we have a different universe than we know. So, probably the heroes we know have kind-of different personalities as well. Just a guess.

<p>I'm a Transformers fan, I'm more than used to five zillion different takes on characters.
</p><p>Still, sometimes you can lament they didn't choose to use an existing take you particularly liked.

<p>@ArkadyDarell it's hard to argue that. New iterations of TF constantly rewrite/reimagine/reshuffle the Bots and Cons, sometimes the names are ALL that connect the new versions to their old versions from past media portrayals.
