I'm not going to even get into how widly political feminism is. Also a historically accurate depiction of a pre-historic women is barely sexist. Kazar wears nothing too and can be argued as female fan fiction. So it goes both ways. Lets get back to the game now

If Shanna were real, I would agree that reducing here to boobed eye candy would be sexism.  This is not a human being.  This is a drawing, meant to be looked at.  It's not reductive to say "I find this drawing appealing", although it is a little odd, I'll grant.  Scolding people for things like this only serves to ostracize them from your cause and marginalize you.  If they were treating a contributor on the wiki this way, I would be on your side.  In this case, a simple "that's immature" to myself and other commenters is probably enough.

If I really have to hear people commenting about sexism is correct, then I'm leaving this thread right now so I don't have to read stuff like "Beeeeewbs" again. Goodbye to all.

Man... if a beutiful girl (or a drawing of a beutiful girl) with few clothes showing her "goods" is Sexism,

then a male Peacock with beautiful colors, showing his feather patterns is Sexism too.

Indeed... we should be arguing about what to argue on a topic on a wiki, while someone will argue about this total arguing we're having here. Some will even argue that's not arguing by the "prime principles" of arguing. Or we should argue that there are absolutely no principles to argue in arguing? Or arguing about that is really arguing? Or just arguing about something that's not even a valid argument to argue?

I approached her to do the Shanna book because I knew she liked jungle comics and adventure comics. ... I put Ross Andru on as the Shanna artist [beginning with issue #2], with Vinnie Colletta inking to make Ross' Shanna look attractive. - Marvel writer/editor Roy Thomas in 2007.

Shanna was introduced alone with Night Nurse and Tigra as comics for girls. They were designed to show strong women doing heroic things for a female audience. I'm guessing it didn't work out quite like that, but they gave women a break into mainstream comics as authors, paving the way for folks like Ann Nocenti and Louise Simonson, among others. This was big idea, women first thinking. They needed to make her attractive probably because at the time Barbie, the main toy for girls was, if anything, more outrageously proportioned.

Shanna has always been a strong female, either as a lead or a second with Ka-Zar. If guys ogle her, it happens. I don't get why anyone is bent about it, and the only person saying "Beewbs" is the guy accusing everyone of leering at the portrait art. Don't point a finger when there are three pointing back.

I'm excited about Shanna because I much prefer the less popular, more experimental characters of the Marvel Universe to the Spider-Man and Wolverine knockoffs. With Anti-Venom, we now have three heroes and multiple villains who have the spider emblem on their chest. We have three heroes with healing factors and claws, and a few villains with the same. Time for the channel to change and some different stuff to come in. Hail Shanna the She-Devil.

PS- This gender identification stuff went nuts here a while ago, leading to massive fights and hard feelings between members of the community that apparently still remain, to this day. I would really hate to see a repeat of that, so please, however you feel about the character or her depiction, or even other wikians, keep it ULTRA CIVIL and respectful.

She is hot, I'd be saying some other things about her if she were not married.
