Discussion on Fate of Fanfiction

<p>With removal on trivial elements such as the infamous Need to Vent forum, MAATactics and the Suggestion forum, along with redefining of Content Policies done recently and increasing monitoring of Mobile threads to ensure their content abides by the rest of the wikis, it has became clear that Fanfiction, primarily "Fanworks" which are typically characters with MAA styled move sets or story lines not existent in the game are out of place. Though the content policies made allowances for this, they are contradictory to the rest of the policies so their future needs to be addressed. </p><p>The staff is divided on how to do this specifically, the three options considered (though we may be open to additional viable options) are: </p> <table style="width:300px; height:90px; margin:0 auto; border:2px blue solid; background-color:#EED2EE; text-align:center;"><tr><td style="width:5px;">

{{VoteX}}: Introduce strict criteria for the allowed characters and required formatted in all fan works to fit the content policies. This criteria will be edited in shortly. </p><p>
If you support Leaving them Be, reply with {{VoteN}}
If you support Removing all Fanworks, reply with {{VoteY}}
If you support removing non-marvel fan works, reply with {{VoteX}} </p><p>These will be implemented as part of new voting scheme to allow more community involvement in the future of the wikia. Voting Criteria will be drawn up shortly to ensure Newly created accounts solely for the purpose of skewing votes are not eligible. </p>

</div> <p>Scroll up to the last time I replied to you, on November 17th (2 weeks ago), and you will note that two fanworks were listed as pages with the most recent editors. So, if you literally have not seen any in months, you have been making an extraordinary effort to not pay attention. </p>

So, if you literally have not seen any in months, you have been making an extraordinary effort to not pay attention. </div> <p>I figured out why. That window doesn't show up on most of the pages I look at. I usually see the forum activity window, but the wiki activity window shows up rarely. </p>

<p>As I said, we, the administration, will have a discussion about implementation and share the results. This will not happen overnight. </p>
