Hey everyone. You know what day it is? That's right, it's 08/10/2017 (or 10/08/2017 whatever)! Which means nothing specific... But exactly one week ago marked one year that Phyla-Vell failed to contain the energy of whatever and destroyed the entire universe. I think...

So anyway, HAPPY END-OF-GAME ANNIVERSARY FOLKS!!!!!

Part of the MAA magic that we aren’t likely to see again was the Marvel Universe with everything included. X-Men and FF are permadead in licensed products and it sucks.

Yeah, Loot Boxes in other games kind of suck, and MAA was the last game that didn’t do loot boxing for toons.

I massively preferred farming currency to buy what I wanted to farming toon shards and currency to open loot boxes.

There is currently a lot of discussion about the propriety and ethics of lootboxes in mobile games marketed to teens and more. I kind of hope the discussion leads to change in the industry back towards the MAA style currency farm. Or even the GOH shard farm.

Also, MAA's lockboxes weren't gambling, as long as you knew how the system worked. You knew that it would cost you a max of $ to get what you wanted, and you knew what you were paying for. Plus it was relatively easy to get everything for 100% free, including lockboxes, by playing the game a certain way.

Well the Max Number of Boxes were a later inclusion, initially it didn't have that limit clause. But yeah, they fixed that after the first few.
