Given the awesomeness of DD I'll definiely be giving JJ a chance. On the down side, the show runner is the person who scripted all five Twilight films - there's definitely scope for it to suck. Still, the MCU's done enough to earn my trust, so I'll let it be innocent until proven guilty, and go in expecting good things.
PS. in case anybody missed it, there were rumors about further netflx series this week: MARVEL PLANNING NETFLIX SHOWS FOR MOON KNIGHT, PUNISHER, DEATHLOK AND SPIDER-WOMAN?
Woohoo :) Been wanting class-filtering for ages :) Kudos PD
It's fine to talk about anything that MAAInsiders have posted - it's an official PD page, so anything the post is considered authoritative.

Not if you're lacking in covers enough that you bothered pointing it out...
1) It's just a game.
2) If the guy prioritises only having FB friends who he actually knows over getting lockboxes that's his business, and certainly none of yours or anyone else's.
Acting superior because you don't understand where someone is coming from doesn't make you superior. I think you need to worry more about how you roll.
Remember: Wheaton's Law
@Fenris90 Herc's a good choice for the boss rush, and with the A-Iso's still on sale (I think?), your best bet would be to spend on his A-Iso (either one works fine).
Why pay for something you can get for free?
I'd definitely suggest getting Cap as soon as you can. If you still need a lot of heroes you'll probably be spending a lot of time in 12.2. Getting him leveled up and isoed up helps. (If you're sruggling with him being a tactician against inf Viper you could always get his WW2 bruiser alt)
If you've got Wolverine I find him quite handy for that mission. (Strong counter, extra turns if you have his alt). (Though, I do have him at 14, so he might not be as good if you haven't got him leveled up). Rogue might be good for it too, or generalist Rocket. I've used Chase in there a couple of times and found him to be quite useful - half of the villains rely exclusively on either Melee or Ranged attacks, so you can shut them down. Deadpool might be OK for it, especially if you've got his crisos, (I've never tried him there myself, though). QS might work well, but I can't really remember how he works out in practice.
Thanks for the tips for fighting Karn.
Chase and Bill beat the crap out of him with static charge and ozone.
One thing: If I don't have the infamous Scroll of Angolob how do I clear the disoriented debuff?
Thanks again!
I could actually facepalm for real - I never thoguth about Chase. Thanks for the tip :)
It is the comment made by someone that goes by the name of Qwertygiy that reads as it follows:
"I've found an extraordinarily easy way to defeat Karn. It took me just three tries, but I changed my strategy the third time, and finished him off from 40% health. Here's the catch: Static Chargedeals him 5% damage. Here's the other catch: he will one-shot KO you with counters if you don't apply Webbed soon. I used Anti-Venom and Beta Ray Bill, but Storm and Spider-Man would likely work too for those of you who haven't completed many Special Ops. Thor with his E-ISO would also work. If you have any Electric type weapons, bring them. The set from the Age of Ultron Special Ops works great. Crackle him to death on his attacks, and Static Charge him to death on your attacks. Don't worry about base damage."
So I had to spend all of my UISOs and completely deplete my reserves of energy points because none of you guys warned me that I might need Spider-Man or Venom because of the their "webbed" debuff which is crucial in the fight against Karn and I'm sure you took notice of that in the list of heroes which I sent you in hope of getting some help; luckily I had Anti-Venom and the Net Caster http://avengersalliance.wikia.com/wiki/Net-Caster/Gear
I couldn't care less about Angela and Mr. Fantastic as heroes required for this particular SO (remember I told you I pay for the SO heroes in gold) Since I only have 254 cps right now and I have to buy Thor's AoU alt and also have to buy Vision because I would like to purchase his AoU alt which is announced to be released very soon, do the math yourself, how could I possibly get additional 168 cps to recruit Angela and Mr. Fantastic right at the start of this SO? I made this very clear in our previous thread where I was desperately asking you to at least hint at the possible heroes required and lend me an advice on how to proceed. Of course I would like to and I can certainly try and get the required amount of cps for Angela/Mr. Fantastic right before the very end of this SO but that's just wishful thinking....
Don't get pissy! No one is responsible for your game other than yourself. The people here don't have to help player, they do it out of kindness - try repaying that kindness by not being a jumped up little .
No one made you go into a fight Karn. You chose to do that. The reason there were no suggestions on the wiki was because other players were in the process of fighting him themselves, and working out the strategies to beat him.
No one could tell you which heroes you'd need for the SO because no one outside of the PD staff no. With it being a Spider-Man centred SO there was always going to be a good chance that Spider-Man would be needed as a Team-Up - that was fairly obvious, and if you didn't see it coming you have no one to blame but yourself. The chances of him being needed as a deploy were slim, but not zero. One of the articles to come out before the SO said that Webbed wold remove Karn's buff - again, not having the innitiative to read game based news, or to plan ahead base don it, is solely your own fault.
I can't believe you're actually whining about having to research the wiki yourself. What exactly do you think the wiki is here for? What do you think every other member of this wiki does? If you want people to do the work for you then start paying someone. The vast majority of the people here are here to find out about the game themselves and share what they know with like-minded people. We all do our own ground work, what makes you so special to be exempt.
While we're on the subject, the task list and required deploys were up extraordinarily fast for this SO - usually they take a day or two. Kudos and thanks for those :)
Again, no one made you spend all of your U-Isos. If you were wasting them in the fight why not hold back a day or two to research strategies before rushing into the battle?
That you don't have enough CPs is also your own fault. SOs come around regularly - the alts are being dropped regularly and we've known about them for a while. If it's really that important to you you should have been farming.
I'm at about 120 CPs right now, I'd need to farm another 215.... Are Angela and Ka-Zar actually worth the farming?
I've got 46 gold, I'd rather get to 225 and more to buy two heroes that could be useful all around and not only for a deploy.... I was thinking about
- Rulk (got Snappy and his aiso)
- Domino (unlocking 2.8.6 and L6 to team with Herc) or Deadpool for 2.6.6
- 90 CP heroes for chapter masteries of S2C1 and S2C2, like UJ, BK or Cap
Don't know what to do, opinions?
It depends on your priorities, but personally I'd say all CP-bought heroes are worth farming because sooner or later they will unlock things (SO-reward heroes, CO-reward heroes, chapter completion alts, heroic battles, epic bosses).
I personally wouldn't spend gold to get CP-bought heroes - I don't spend money on the game, so gold is a limited resource - gold can be used to get much harder to acquire ietems.
Angela looks good to me, but I haven't got her yet. Ka-Zar is a decent hero, IMO, but not a great one. He's certainly one I don't mind using though.
It all depends on your own priorities and what you want to get out of the game, but personally, for me:
- LE > evergreen.
- Don't skip to avoid buying heroes when I'll probably have to buy the heroes later anyway.
Where's that conversation happening?
It seems a bit "all animals are equal, but some animals are more equal than others" to remove fanfic because it isn't factual, but ignore content that is even less related to the game.
Just had a glipse at the blogs and it got me wondering. We're not talking about those blogs which are neither game related nor fanfics, I'm thinking of the film/tv reviews/news ones. Has it already been decided what happens to them? Or should we be talking baout that too?
I am against this. |
Maybe try forging good connections with the admins of the fanfic wikis. Try and link this wiki with those in some sort of 'official' capacity. Link to them on the homepage, so that people go there to do fanfics instead of here. That would keep the community of people on this wiki who like fanfics together.
That way you don't completely wipe out the fanwork from the wiki (there's still somewhere to go from this wiki for that), but fanworks don't interfere with what goes on here.
(Personally, I sometimes enjoy reading the marvel based fanworks of heroes, but think the other ones tend to clutter up the blog. I'm not sure yet how I'd want to vote).
So he does know that it's a Halloween spec ops.
Yeah, that stuck out for me too.
Sorry, I should probably be more seasonal:
