Starting this game at this point is basically futile. We're almost at a year with no significant updates.

Don't mean to derail this thread, but this game is broken with no plans to be fixed.

On the playdom forum the newest post in the Android area is a scathing letter entitled "Thanks for the "Update"" thanking Playdom/Disney for updating our app so that we get a video commercial as the game starts up.

Pretty funny, but I wouldn't be surprised if they really think this constitues an "Update"

I hypothetically played this game yesterday, and if it existed it was actually really fun. It appears to be very similar to Heroes Charge in how you aquire new heroes and then level them up, hypothetically, that is.

@KamSpartan - I don't have this hypothetical game yet, but if I did I would probably stick with the same user id - Endo75.

I would imagine that this hypothetical game would have all of the features that we lacked in MAA, such as facebook/Google+ game service, and excellent graphic. Something that doesn't crash constantly.

Yes, I have now lost all hope that we will get anything in terms of an update. iOS is complaining because they haven't gotten much in the last month. We haven't gotten anything since October. I refuse to count a broken PVP in which we couldn't actually participate.

I've moved on. I had to update my Nexus 7 the hard way to Lollipop 5.1 yesterday, and I opened up MAA to check and see if my android_id was still intact, other than that I have found other games, primarily Heroes Charge, to occupy my time.

@Brock - I have given up farming for a while now, but that's no excuse. I think I have at least a couple dozen of those MF Generators. Just a brain fart.

You will want to farm a few premium missions and Epic bosses. In early-stage PVP, the Sabretooth claws are great for getting counters and applying bleeds. Also, the Magneto shield (can't remember the name) is great as it gives you a free turn when it is depleted.

I can attest to doing this. I needed to put in a new motherboard, which is basically new storage and everything, so I had to edit my android id. Luckily, I saw Brock's posts earlier and had backed up the id (emailed it to myself for safe keeping).

I didn't use SQlite, I just used an android id changer app, and it worked. Took a couple tries, though, but it worked in the end.

I tend to disagree with Brock (sorry man), and I can attest that I started winning a lot more battles once I focused on getting Bruisers and leveling them. The reason is when some weapon sets with high damage are popular (i.e. the Ghost Rider SO set) having a higher defense helped me stop getting one-shotted, or stunned and then one-shotted.

At the time, I had almost all of the blasters, a lot more scrappers than necessary, no Generalists really, and a bunch of tacticians and infiltrators.

I do agree that having high attack damage wins a lot of PVP battles, but having high defense helps you not get blown away by a team with high damage before having a chance to fight back.

Blaster and Bruiser are definitely 1 and 2.

You can make arguments about the remainder. Generalist is nice since it does give attack and defense.

Tactician is good for the HP/SP bonus.

Inf. and Scrapper are ????. I don't know if anyone has done a test with our version to see if the effect of accuracy or evade does much in PVP. Scrappers are less desirable right now since X-23 abuses them and uses the enrages against the entire team, and she is still very common in PVP. My mouth waters when I see a scrapper on the other team when I am using X-23.

ACtually, I would be surprised if AoU triggers any kind of update for android. I'm sure they are focused on new release content for the two platforms they actually care about. Maybe when Age of Ultron comes out on DVD/BluRay they will do something for android, maybe unlock Ch. 8 without fixing any of the bugs.

Wouldn't that be just dandy, Ch.8 is now released, but if the game crashes (and it will) you lose all progress and have to start over. That would be a perfect FU to all of the android users.

My prediction is that as soon as they have the Windows version buttoned up, they will announce the android version closing.

That's the only explanation that I can think of that they didn't announce any updates or improvements for Android.

I will break with the rest and suggest you get X23 and/or Phoenix.

Right now those are still staples in PVP. Phoenix is still OP, and X-23 is good for both PVP and farming. I would also recommend Storm for the 4.4 farming.

@Wesker79 - in Brock's blog post I think he names the app that you need to change the androidid on a rooted device. I know it works because I used it a couple times. There are different apps that do this, but I can't remember which one worked best. There was one that didn't work for me.

Once you change the androidid and restart the device and game, all of your game data will automatically update.

@Thesparkone - I don't think they actually will do anything, but I am asking for discussion on what we would think would make us whole.

I know personally, even if the game comes back to full glory with all of the bells and whistles, I will still feel mistreated as a customer as I did pay a significant amount of money to play this game last year, and they basically left us all adrift by not even announcing any of the issues or when they thought things would be improved.

I'm not even counting the new PVP, as it was entirely broken.

Should Playdom/Disney award players who come back with a loyalty reward?

So, playing other games lately, and one game in particular seems to be very on-point with giving out compensatory awards for minor mistakes.

When the DST time change happened, Heroes Charge's daily awards came out an hour late. We immediately got an announcement in-game, as well as a reasonable award of gems roughly the equivalent of 8-10 gold. Just for being an hour behind.

What would make up for the absence of any announcements and being left in the lurch for over 6 months and counting? 500 gold? 100 gold / 400 CP and a free hero? Free items?

Discuss....
