That may have been true for the first ones but not anymore....No One would say BK sucks.
Magic Warding + built-in Protect/Counter is a long way from sucking in the current environment.
Quicksilver has been successfully teamed with at least a half-dozen partners over the years, beginning with Psylocke, who is still a great team-up for him. As for armory tilt, every character in the game works better with a tilted armory, so that's irrelevant. He remains an A+ vehicle for turn advantage in numerous ways.
Quicksilver remains the best character in the game to this point, in virtually every aspect. Hugun's and the Elite EISO cramp his style a little, but not to the point if unplayability.
HAIF has been a PvP staple since his release. He's definitely in there.
Peast makes a lot of things run, and puts a crimp in three of the most potent agent items: Scroll of Angolob, Mystic, and - to a lesser degree - Synthetic Cube.
Psylocke and Star-Lord: because extra turns and extra attacks, especially stealthy ones, make a difference.
Kuurth is another one who has been omnipresent since release, and her trickery currently has no hard counter.
That's six but right now, Black Knight is ridiculous and obviously glitched, so he's in the discussion until the fix.
Omitted: Enchantress - she needs Peast; Rulk - ditto; Nul - too much Magic Warding, and he's more than manageable without Meteor Swarm; Emma - not that she's bad, just that she's not top-6; Rocket/Noir/Union Jack - none of them can win on their own, so if their teammate gets KO'd the fight is over; ASW - she's a blaster; Beta Ray Bill - n00bs only (also a blaster).
I don't know of anyone who uses Munin's Eye.
Congrats on Skirn. More congrats to come for Kuurth.
But... the Blaster one, or Infil? I'll take Empowered over Safeguard any day;
I ran the blaster SG on my agent on offense to ada the last two full PvP seasons. It is the first and only blaster uni I have used in PvP. Blaster EA is, IMO, the worst uni that can carry an EISO.
Tac is the best EA, both for the class bonus and for Snappy Service. Yes, better than the generalist ones... much better.
You correctly identified Inf and Scrapper as the two next-best, but Tac is still king.
Also the lockboxes. of course they're just chance, but still a waste.
Characters > equipment
Also the lockboxes. of course they're just chance, but still a waste.
Lucky you that some errant click of the mouse gave you an A+ use of gold. As for lockboxes, what are you saving your gold for if not to recruit characters?
In the early days of the game I spent quite a bit of gold in the in-battle store. That is, indeed, a massive waste.
Coulson's Revenge is easily one of the 5 best items in the game. What you consider "a waste" I consider PEBKAC.
BUY NOW.
The extra bay is completely worth the normal cost of 100 gold. Put a discount on top of that and it's a steal.
3 complete runs will average out to 6 CPs, so I'm not sure why 5 is unacceptable.
Save your CPs to allow you to complete the SO. The SO deploy characters are also required in season 2, so your CPs go toward multiple goals that way.
Is Nul-Kuurth a counter/follow-up team? Most of what I fought last PvP season was still Nul-Kuurth.
Not Carafist, not Nailgun. I find Skeptic terribly overrarted. I don't see the Mandible benefit any more, and especially not in this team (might be different if you were running Union Jack or Rocket). Hugin's is probably the answer. You already have a QA, so Trope will conflict, while Hugin's pairs neatly with the glove.
1. Dude, we're one day in. In no way is that enough of a sample size to draw any kind of respectable conclusion.
2. I assume that Pre-vP means that they are tweaking one or more things in the code and want to see it in action before rolling it out for a full tournament.
I can't believe people are complaining about paying 64 gold for the fifth agent slot. It should be triple that cost. Between the daily mission, leveling the agent, roulettes, and PvP tournament, 64 gold is more than affordable for anyone who has taken the game seriously for more than a couple of weeks. Stop the insanity.
That was just a remark on PKB's part to remind the speculators that they were going nowhere. There has been mo formal announcement on the cost or implementation of the fifth slot.
Completely off-topic, but I was just wishing this morning for a research upgrade that would convert all other ISO-8 drops into reactives.
Holy mother of Uncle Ben, stop putting words in my mouth. Address my central argument or don't post.
Central argument: we don't know how this will work so don't get ahead of yourself planning how you will use the fifth slot.
Attacking the examples as being more than examples is insulting.
You're missing the point of what I said. I said "we don't know." Saying that we'll unlock it with gold is speculation and uninformed, and essentially exactly what I was trying to say to not do.
