What Is The Impending Doom Event?
You’ve probably noticed a new type of lockbox in the collections page and have wondered what it is and how it works. Impending lockboxes will be opened to get comic covers for Dr. Doom, but with a twist!
We have wanted to try a form of daily rotating tasks for a while and we also wanted to give players a cool gift for the holidays. We combined these two ideas into a fun new feature where players will have 26 hours to complete each task for 5 Impending Lockboxes. These tasks will run each day starting Saturday December 7th at 1PM PST until Wednesday January 8th. Remember to play every day and complete each daily task. If you don't finish one in time, it will be gone for good!
The holiday twist on this new feature is that we aren’t letting you open your presents early! You have to wait until Christmas morning (12/25) to open them and play Dr. Doom.
Doom’s move list is a secret, but as of right now we will tell you we are planning to make him the most powerful “hero” in the game. How will we be balancing this, you ask? I don’t want to spoil the Christmas surprise!
There is only DOOM!
