Marvel Avengers Alliance was a turn-based social-network game developed by American studio Offbeat Creations and published by Playdom on March 1, 2012. It was based on characters and storylines published by Marvel Comics, and written by Alex Irvine.

Why Avengers Alliance Should Be in Smash Bros.
Number 1: It has fighting in the game and Smash Bros is a fighting game. Plus Black Panther fights way more than Mario. Mario JUMPS more than fighting so why does he get to be on the cover when my PVP boy Spider-Man Noir can't even make it as an unlockable hero?
Number 2: The level of interest will peak so high for the game it could come back as a sequel like Avengers Alliance 3. Playdom is playing dumb for losing money just for playing dumb games with the hearts of true gamers like us who get Adamantium at last minute thanks to sick days from work.
Number 3: To force them to balance the heroes. Cloak and Dagger are OP overpowered.

Hey . This blog has no actual purpose, really. All I wanted was to know how it's like to have a blog post. Idiotic isn't it? MAA Oblivion
Today, Marvel Avengers Alliance is over. In this video I want to share with you my final thoughts about this game that was so important to me. Memories
There was definitely a feeling of relief when I found out the game was closing. Mostly because it meant the end of the grind. You know what grind I mean, the endless grind for CP. Just how many times did I play that mission? Well, I recall an average of about 400,000 points per play. 68 MPoints / 400 KPoints = 170 times. That's 170 times I deployed Kitty, kicked Zemo and his Hydra buddies outta town, picked up Kitty, and then took down Viper for good measure. 170 freaking times. And I'm sure some of you did it even more! I can't imagine that any mission was played more than that …

No tasks. I've completed them all. All the Spec Op tasks, all the Season 2 tasks, all of them. I've got all the heroes, I've completed all the chapters, I'm calling this the "I beat the game" point. First time it's taken me 3 years to get to that point on a game. So that's something. Anyway, it was a good story, I really enjoyed the dialogue, and I'm looking forward to moving on to a game that isn't so life-consuming.

I get it, i really do. 3 days to go and I am still not ready to say goodbye. I wish we could explore the universe more and get to know more characters. I am thankful for the game though. If it wasnt for MAA I would have never heard or cared about so many characters. Who knew that they would put out their best one at the end. White Tiger? who the hell is that? seriously though I enjoy using that character though. That is one of the few I have used the last couple weeks.

Grouping Characters by Color/Class
With all the recent blogs have been about reminiscing and/or mourning at the soon to be shut down of this beloved game, I thought it would be nice to have a break from all that to do I blog that shows how many character's classes match the main color of their sprites. ◎ A Small Guide in Going Around Some Known Issues
Yup. The game will end. But that won't stop me from doin' this!

- Enemies seemed immortal. You've been killing them for 4 hours (exagerating here) and they still won't die!

- You log-in the game expecting that your heroes (at most 2 of them) are finished training, but they won't show up after you click the "Team Menu" with "Done".

- Before you go to the Team Menu, click a Mission (from Chapter 1 or Chapter 2, or Spec Op) and wait for the characters' dialogues. Enter a battle afterwards. After the battle, the glitch in the "Team" menu will be gone.
Gold request
So this is my first attempt at adding a page to this wiki. Other than my personal one. And I wanted to say that with the sucess of some other gold requests I thought I would try and see what I could get out of playdoh and Disney. Therefore I just sent an email stating my game story and explaining how much fun I have had so in and so forth. All of which was true. I then asked if it would be possible to receive 8000 gold so that I would have one last chance at testing all of the fun cp and lockbox characters that they had made. What a send-off!
I've always viewed this game as being primarily about resource management.
Initially, you don't have enough of anything. You play, collect resources, and spend them. In the beginning (do you remember back then?) it was SHIELD Points that were the limiting factor. I just couldn't get enough of them to do all the research and level all the heroes and everything else you needed them for. I've had more of those purple discs than can be used for over a year. Silver was short after that, I had to sell supplies to get a couple million for training costs even while running steady flight decks. After that, it was all about the CP grind. Get more CP to get more heroes. Eventually, I even had enough CP so that I'd always be able to buy whateve…
Why you should still play this game despite its ending
After the announcement of MAA's impending doom (but not this impending doom) I noticed that most of the people are dealing with it very bad. I know some long-time players that celebrated (!!!) the announcement, others that literally cried. Also some people are skipping the tasks of current SO, while others can't see any reason to continue to play. That's why I'll make a short text trying to explain why its still worth playing MAA until September 30.

The Why of It - Alliance Disassembled by the Numbers
In touring around the various outpourings from the community here, on twitter, on other pages and on Youtube, one thing that has struck me is the belief that there was no reason to shut down our game because of the disappointing results of the sequel. I find that puzzling, as I've been saying for the last year that the end was nigh. I offer my data, so you can judge for yourself.
My data is based on PVP rankings and percentiles. I've kept pretty good data on my PVP finishes over the years, with a few exceptions. I have an estimate of my rating in the Deadpool tournament, based largely on memory. I rated in the 0.0% (and they didn't go to two decimals until the 6th tournament), so that's a bit squinky (could be 942K, could be 4.71 Million).…

WIP: Issues I had with Disney/Belated Solutions
Well, it's the end. No more Marvel Avengers Alliance in about a month, and people are upset. Rightly so, and I'm sure people had issues with the game and how it was run. Well, I want to take a stab at what I felt were issues in the game and how those problems could've been fixed. Not good with intros so let's jump into this thing!
First Issue: Trouble attracting and keeping newer players
This issue I feel is partially because of the level cap implemented in pvp in the middle of 2014, bt if this decision couldn't have been reversed, there were other ways to attract newer guys, and the way was to use leveling to dole out more prizes. PKB's Farewell Tour - Completion
We're all dealing with this in different ways. I've decided to follow the lead of @TheRavenHeart and play through the entire game from Season 1, Chapter 1, Mission 1 - The Hydra's Tail to Season 2, Chapter 12, Mission 3 - Serpent Strike. I didn't think there was a more fitting way than to take a final lap through the game, enjoy all of Alex Irvine's writing, all of the coding of the team, all of Sam Wood's, Kelly Hamilton's, Leigh Kellogg's and more's art.

I'm not sure where to begin. I suppose at the beginning. On April 12th of 2012, I noticed a post on Facebook from a high school friend of mine about a relatively new game based on Marvel. I hadn't picked up a comic book since 1994. Yeah, nearly 20 years. But maybe with 40 closing in and having ended a two year affair with the, in retrospect, completely stupid Mafia Wars. I'd tried a few other FB games, like Castle Age and a card based MMA game, but something about Marvel spoke to me a bit, even though I had no intention of seeing the Avengers movie.

M:AA will be closed in Sept. 30.
I'm glad I could play this game for 4 years. I enjoyed new things, was angry at bugs and nerfs, but all in all, M:AA was source of fun and good content. But everything has to end. I've finished new SpecOps, completed weapon set and bought White Tiger. It would be one of the greatest game updates, if it wasn't last.
It's time to part our ways. I was part of this community, as everyone here, and I can feel proud of it. I have to thank you, guys. For very quick updates, (generally) healthy arguments and caring for other players. I hope we'll meet again somewhere else.

Marvel Avenger Alliances ceases to exist end of the Month
Hello friendly MAA Community.
I never before wrote a blog on this wiki, but I've been part of MAA since the Ghost Rider SpecOp.
I have come here with grave news, Marvel officially said they will shut down MAA at the 30th September 2016 (can be seen when entering the game and is in the updates display on this wiki).
This is seriously a bummer... they released a new spec op and a new 90 cp hero and just released all boundaries (deploys give 75 Shield Points, gold weapons and such, the roulette has only 500 iso8 and gold and has much higher roll chances to get the weapons etc)
I gotta say I will miss this game because I love 2D RPGs with turnbased combat and this was the only browser game that had good turn based combat beside ports and a few sma…
The Odin Challenge - Bring Your Strongest
In the new Chapter, not only did we get to fight the Worthy, we get to fight Odin himself. Odin is no pushover - not only do you get to fight on an epic background, you have to deal with massive health, unbreakable shields, and nasty debuffs. Sure, using a Level 15 Spitfire or something similar he dies pretty fast, but why not make it more interesting? Thus, I came up with the Odin Challenge.
To have a little more fun as I farm I-ISO for the Mighty Weapons in Mission 3, I'll be attempting to defeat Epic Odin on Challenge Mode using every single ingame hero. Some of these will be easy, whereas others could end up being near impossible. I'll record my progress here, and be interested to see if anyone else is interested in trying this as well. …

While I was playing this game I received a star waven text from Alpha Prime stated that Earth is under a asteriod attack and need assistance in moving the asteriod away from Earth. This task was hard but the "Primes" gave me cosmic powers that grant me flight telepathy and a beam called the Andor ray which can moved 500 quintilla tons of matter. But when the asteriod was destroyed they appear a Tigen battleship and attempted to destroyed the earth through a cosmic beam by the team called the nexus 84 and save the earth. I view that the game had it's jump the shark moment with all those e-isos they released in their Summer (please don't let PVP participation get bummer) Sale. Seemed more desperate than the current state of American politics.

REFUND OF 75 GOLD
As a player of MAA, I sometimes drool over the wonders and marvels of devs when creating this game. But some actions and contentexual aliet has disapointed me severly and this crime commiteed by the devs at MAA meant WAR!! As of August 29,2016 they will have to refund every bit of gold taken out of disgust.
The 100 gold pieces that was paid was by criminality of mistaken crime and consent and I already summon a lawyer named John Yank that will deal with the MAA commitee.

Great new abilities & skins, but what about the original heroes?
The recently added heroes have great new abilities, but they seem to negate the viability of the other earlier heroes.
Keeping in mind the beed to keep the PVP balance of the power sets, shouldn't all of the prior player characters be considered when new characters are introduced with new abilities or vulnerabilities?
Ghost Rider is a good example; gaining the Hallowed weapon vulnerability makes sense for him (and also for Damion Hellstrom & Satana by the way) but why should he be vulnerable to Doom & Despair?

PKB on PVP 31: Living the Low Volume Life
Decided to memorialize this tournament with a blog. Don't have any great love for Songbird, or any strong opinion at all. Feeling a lot of MAApathy lately, as I've been playing Galaxy of Heroes a bit more and spending more time on work and cooking. I don't know that I'm close to giving up the game, but there have been weekends where I didn't play at all. At any rate, the goal here is to win top prizes with minimal volume. Like below 5/day volume. Ordinarily, I would not pass on five a day, but with no lockbox, no construction task and nothing on the daily spin I want, why should I do five if I don't have to and don't want to do so?
