Mission 1[]
Mission Start[]
Nick Fury: |
I'll be taking the lead on the Incursion. Agent Hill and Agent Coulson, you're in charge for now. |
Tony Stark: |
What about me? |
Nick Fury: |
You're still our highly paid consultant. |
Tony Stark: |
As long as that's clear. |
Nick Fury: |
T'Challa has prototyped a new device designed to interrupt Incursions. Now it's going to get its first field trial. |
Nick Fury: |
We've got this. Your attention should stay on M.O.D.O.K. and Man-Ape. |
Storm: |
Because T'Challa has internal matters requiring his attention, I will be your liaison with Wakandan personnel. Fury, I will escort you to the Incursion site. We must speak. |
Tony Stark: |
I thought she and him were, um...? |
Agent Coulson: |
Me too. But it's not really our business. |
Maria Hill: |
Storm will be closely involved in this mission, Agent. Stay in close touch with her. |
Deploy 1[]
Screen Text[]
Black Panther and Fury are trying to test T'Challa's device at the Incursion site, but they're also under attack from White Gorillas. Send a hero to help cover them while they work. But don't ask any questions.
Deploy 2[]
Screen Text[]
White Gorillas are heading through the jungle to the border. We've got someone with jungle expertise to stop them: Shanna.
Start[]
Maria Hill: |
Shanna, a group of terrorists is heading south through the jungle trying to get out of Wakanda. |
Shanna: |
With something they shouldn't have, I'm guessing? |
Maria Hill: |
You understand perfectly. |
Shanna: |
Then I'll be right back. |
Complete[]
Shanna: |
I'm not going to talk about what it is, but you'd better come get it. |
Maria Hill: |
We're on our way. Your discretion is appreciated. |
Deploy 3[]
Screen Text[]
A raiding party of some kind has come through the Incursion overlap. They're hostile, they're well-armed, and they need some attention from Ms. Marvel.
Start[]
Tony Stark: |
Plus they might have nasty germs. Come on, Carol, zap 'em for us. |
Ms. Marvel: |
Does anyone else want in on the zapping? No? Okay, then. |
Complete[]
Tony Stark: |
Are they zapped? |
Ms. Marvel: |
They are. Mostly they looked like that other Earth's version of A.I.M. |
Tony Stark: |
Pathetic nerds using advanced armaments to take out their dating frustrations? |
Ms. Marvel: |
More or less, yeah. |
Deploy 4[]
Screen Text[]
There's a traitor inside T'Challa's security forces. Send a hero to help a S.H.I.E.L.D. team identify and eliminate the threat.
Deploy 5[]
Screen Text[]
A.I.M. grunts are headed for the Incursion with a truck, M.O.D.O.K. sent them. We don't know whether they're carrying a bomb or a device M.O.D.O.K. designed, but we do know we son't want them to get there.
Heroic Battle[]
Screen Text[]
Constrictor is taking petty office theft to a whole new level by trying to pilfer some S.H.I.E.L.D.'s surplus vibranium supply. Problem is, he's just been caught in the act by Hercules.
Start[]
Hercules: |
Thief! While Wakanda is under attack, you steal vibranium!? |
You better step off, pal. You touch me again, we're going to be right back in court. | Constrictor: |
Hercules: |
If you think money will stop me from beating you into a wheelchair, think again. |
Come on, Herc, I'm just working a side job. There's plenty of vibranium here. They can spare some. I'll cut you in. | Constrictor: |
Hercules: |
S.H.I.E.L.D. regulations prohibit moonlighting. |
Pretty sure they prohibit boozing on the job, too, but since when has that stopped you? Also, that settlement won't last forever. I have to supplement my income. | Constrictor: |
Lose[]
Maybe now people will believe me when I tell them I once stood up to the Hulk. I'm outta here. | Constrictor: |
Complete[]
Hercules: |
Constrictor has learned the error of his ways. Haven't you? |
What I learned is I better sue you again. You're a lunatic. | Constrictor: |
MiniBoss - Man-Ape[]
Reveal[]
Maria Hill: |
We sent out a shipment of vibranium headed for the outskirts of the city, hoping to decoy M.O.D.O.K. out into the open. |
Agent Coulson: |
Looks like Man-Ape is already tracking it. He'll make his move sooner or later, but it's possible if we wait M.O.D.O.K. might join the party, too. |
Tony Stark: |
Storm, what's your sense? Should we make the move while we've got Man-Ape lined up, or see if we can get a daily double? |
Agent Coulson: |
Like Storm said, it's your call. |
Start[]
I will kill no one who does not resist. | Man-Ape: |
Storm: |
You will kill no one at all, M'Baku. |
Ororo! The former queen still fights for the land that rejected her. Your loyalty would be touching if it were not so stupid. | Man-Ape: |
Lose[]
Take the vibranium, my White Gorillas! M.O.D.O.K.'s plan requires it. | Man-Ape: |
Repeat[]
Perhaps I should reconsider my earlier pledge of mercy. | Man-Ape: |
Complete[]
Storm: |
Man-Ape has fled. His White Gorillas are surrendering. |
Maria Hill: |
Is this going to make M.O.D.O.K. less likely to come after the shipment? |
Tony Stark: |
Doubt it. He'll see us defending it and think that means it's even more valuable. M.O.D.O.K.'s brilliant, but he's also greedy.
Greed trumps brains just about every time. |
Maria Hill: |
Voice of experience? |
Tony Stark: |
Agent Hill, did you just make a joke? You really let your hair down when Nick's not around. |
Boss - M.O.D.O.K.[]
Reveal[]
Agent Coulson: |
Sometimes the simplest plans work best. M.O.D.O.K. just attacked the dummy shipment and our field team. Agent, now's the time. |
Maria Hill: |
Enemy forces include both A.I.M. personnel and White Gorillas. |
Storm: |
The shipment's escort is under heavy attack, Agent. We should not delay our response. |
Start[]
Yield the vibranium or you will all be eradicated. Simulations predict an average combat duration of forty-seven seconds. | M.O.D.O.K.: |
Storm: |
I would think by now you would have learned that your simulations tend to be optimistic. |
There is no optimism in stipulating M.O.D.O.K.'s superiority. That is fact. | M.O.D.O.K.: |
Storm: |
Well, it's a theory. Sounds like you want to test it. |
In-Fight[]
You fight me when I could save you all! Only M.O.D.O.K. has a way to halt Incursions, with one hundred percent certainty! | M.O.D.O.K.: |
Storm: |
And it just so happens you must steal vibranium to do it. Convenient. |
For me, yes. For your convenience, I spare no part of my mind.
I will have the vibranium, and A.I.M. will halt the Incursions! Then you will grovel before A.I.M., and before M.O.D.O.K.! |
M.O.D.O.K.: |
Lose[]
And now S.H.I.E.L.D. will see the superiority of A.I.M. technology! | M.O.D.O.K.: |
Repeat[]
Fools! You resist the only mind capable of saving you. Destroy them! | M.O.D.O.K.: |
Complete[]
Storm: |
M.O.D.O.K. is out of his chair and unconscious. Some of his soldiers have fled into the jungle. |
Tony Stark: |
We'll track them and see if they lead us to his base. Whatever gizmo he's designed, it'll be there. |
Storm: |
I will escort the vibranium back to its holding facility. |
Tony Stark: |
I'm going to want to inspect his lab if we find it. M.O.D.O.K.'s a nut, but he might have made some kind of breakthrough. |
Mission Complete[]
Tony Stark: |
We've been through M.O.D.O.K.'s lab and he was in fact building an energy-disruption field generator. Could be it'll affect Incursions. |
Maria Hill: |
And it needs vibranium? |
Tony Stark: |
For the containment shell, to keep the energy field from dissipating. Or exploding. I'll dismantle it and bring it in to study. Or should we-- |
Maria Hill: |
The Incursion is collapsing! Did someone--oh no. Director Fury? |
Agent Coulson: |
Boss? Come in, Boss. |
Maria Hill: |
He's not answering. Do we see him on any-- |
Black Panther: |
Someone collapsed the Incursion...with Fury on the other side. |
Maria Hill: |
He went through it? Why? |
Maria Hill: |
Did he--do you have a way to get him back? Does that Earth still exist? |
Black Panther: |
I am working on it. |
Maria Hill: |
That sounds like a no. |
Black Panther: |
That is all the answer I can provide. We will be working to get him back, just as I'm sure you will. |
Tony Stark: |
We sure as hell will. But we're going to have to put that on hold. There's a fire to put out in New York. Literally. |
Mission 2[]
Mission Start[]
Agent Coulson: |
When was he doing that? S.H.I.E.L.D. didn't clear any project like that. |
Maria Hill: |
Well, you know the Fixer. He has his own way of doing things, and it doesn't usually involve sticking to regulations. |
Tony Stark: |
We've all got our side projects. Problem is, once he had control systems designed, someone else took them over. That's when we first heard of the whole thing. |
Agent Coulson: |
There's no way to know what happened to Fury after he went through the Incursion, and no way to know if the other Earth still exists. |
Maria Hill: |
We have to proceed as if Director Fury is lost. |
Agent Coulson: |
That means keeping our eyes on the mission here. Hunt the Worthy, deal with other threats as they arise. |
Deploy 1[]
Screen Text[]
If Ultron is active again, we'll need extra security countermeasures. All communications with Avengers Tower will be voice-only. Send a hero with initial orders.
Deploy 2[]
Screen Text[]
We need to depower a building full of Ultron drones. It's got magnetic shielding in its main transformer...but that won't stop a trick arrow.
Start[]
Agent Coulson: |
That transformer is powering a lab where Ultron is copying himself as fast as he can move the gantries. It's magnetically shielded and heavily armored. |
Maria Hill: |
We can't use a missile and a bullet will deflect off the casing. If we're going to take out that transformer, we need something nonmagnetic that can deliver a disruptive charge. |
Tony Stark: |
Kate Bishop, please pick up the courtesy phone. |
Kate Bishop: |
What is it? |
Tony Stark: |
We've got a specially designed arrow we need you to shoot at something. |
Complete[]
Kate Bishop: |
You didn't tell me I'd have to do it while Ultrons were attacking. |
Tony Stark: |
Why did you think we sent all the backup? Welcome to the Avengers, kid. |
Deploy 3[]
Screen Text[]
Some of the mechanical constructs in this area are being controlled by a fiber-optic setup centered on this location. Since it uses light, maybe light can disrupt it.
Start[]
Tony Stark: |
Karolina Dean, we've got a job for you. See that complicated assembly of glass and steel yonder? |
Karolina Dean: |
I do. |
Agent Coulson: |
If you can fracture the light going through those fiber-optic cables, our day will get a lot easier. |
Karolina Dean: |
I've never tried to do that before, but we'll see if I can make it work. |
Tony Stark: |
Look out for rampaging Sentinels. |
Complete[]
Karolina Dean: |
It worked! |
Tony Stark: |
You've got a future in cyberattacks, kid. Good job. |
Deploy 4[]
Screen Text[]
Sif has been patrolling the edge of the campus looking for stray Sentinels or other robots. She's found one. If it gets into the city, we're in trouble.
Start[]
Agent Coulson: |
Lady Sif, that robot you've spotted? |
Sif: |
I have no skill at differentiating robots. Is it one of yours? |
Agent Coulson: |
Not. |
Sif: |
Then I know what to do. |
Complete[]
Sif: |
Not even the dwarves could find a use for this scrap. |
Deploy 5[]
Screen Text[]
Ultron appears to have commandeered a robotics lab at Empire U. Send a hero to make sure the college kids' capstone projects don't get out of hand.
Heroic Battle[]
Screen Text[]
Victor Mancha and Chase Stein set their sights on fighting and defeating Angrir, Breaker of Souls. Overhearing their plans, Thor tries to convince them that they are not prepared for such a grand quest. The sparks will fly.
Start[]
Victor Mancha: |
Another Sentinel down. Wish I'd gotten a crack at Ultron. |
Chase Stein: |
A robot's a robot. I think we ought to set our sights a little higher...like on whatsisname, whatever Hellstrom's calling himself. |
Thor: |
Go home, boys. You play with lightning, and scare the innocents. Leave the pursuit of the Worthy to those who would survive the encounter. |
Chase Stein: |
We're fighting Sentinels just like you are, Goldilocks. Butt out. |
You do not deceive me, Chase Stein. If you are too headstrong to listen to your elders, perhaps you are in need of a lesson. | Thor: |
Lose[]
You have not yet grown into your powers. But even if you had, the powers of Asgard are a bit more than you can handle. | Thor: |
Victor Mancha: |
Chase, sounds to me like good advice. |
Chase Stein: |
Seriously? Are we going to let him tell us what to do? |
Take your friend's advice, Chase Stein. At least for now, his arrogance is not clouding his judgment. | Thor: |
Repeat[]
You two are like I once was: Foolish, headstrong, stupid boys. | Thor: |
Complete[]
Chase Stein: |
Woohoo! Did you see that? We got Thor! |
Victor Mancha: |
Well, only for a second. He's up again. Think he's mad? |
Chase Stein: |
He looks mad. What should we do? |
Victor Mancha: |
I'm thinking get the hell out of here is our best plan. |
MiniBoss - Hydra Power Armor[]
Reveal[]
Agent Coulson: |
Agent, you're going to be working with a new team member on this op. Also a good friend of mine. Daisy Johnson. She goes by Quake. |
Maria Hill: |
Rules of engagement are the same as for Sentinels. Destroy with prejudice. |
Quake: |
Got it. |
Start[]
Mutants die! | Hydra Power Armor: |
Quake: |
Who programmed that? Everybody dies. That's a lousy slogan. Is it a command? An observation? Really unclear. |
Mutants die! | Hydra Power Armor: |
Quake: |
Ooookay, then. Some people can't take editing. |
Lose[]
Mutants die! | Hydra Power Armor: |
Repeat[]
Quake: |
These Power Armors don't go down easy. |
Complete[]
Quake: |
Power Armor's down. Should I head back on Sentinel duty? |
Agent Coulson: |
For now, yes. But be ready to divert in case we need you for something else. |
Quake: |
I am most flexibly yours, Coulson. You know that. |
MiniBoss - Angrir[]
Reveal[]
Tony Stark: |
We can tick another hammer off the claimed list. That used to be Hellstrom. |
Agent Coulson: |
I believe he is now Angrir. |
Tony Stark: |
Breaker of...? |
Agent Coulson: |
Souls. |
Maria Hill: |
Quake, are you able to respond? |
Quake: |
How could I miss this chance? Everyone wants in on the Worthy. |
Tony Stark: |
That usually only lasts until they've actually fought one of them. I mean, good luck. |
Start[]
The Serpent comes. You will all be broken. | Angrir: |
Quake: |
A Worthy talking? End of the world for sure. Where's all the runic-sounding gibberish? |
I will break you first, starting with your mouth...and enjoy it. | Angrir: |
Quake: |
The whole breaking thing is getting a little weird. I mean, I get how you can break stones, and wills...but souls? Do they really break? Makes no sense. |
Lose[]
Maria Hill: |
Quake, you're lucky to be alive. Get out of there until we can get fire support in place. |
Repeat[]
Quake: |
You swing a mean hammer, buddy. But I can get mean, too. |
Complete[]
Quake: |
Tony, you're right. That was a little more than I expected. |
Tony Stark: |
Asgardian divine magic isn't like shooting robots, especially when you add Hellstrom's demonic powers to the package. Now you know. |
Quake: |
Not sure he broke my soul, but he might have broken some other parts of me. |
Maria Hill: |
You did well. The more we oppose the Worthy, the more we slow the spread of terror. And that in turn makes it harder for Cul to achieve his full power. |
Tony Stark: |
So good job. Kudos all around. |
Boss - Ultron[]
Reveal[]
Tony Stark: |
Ultron! So that's who overrode Fixer's army. |
Fixer: |
I don't know. I've seen Ultron's work before, and this doesn't seem like him. |
Tony Stark: |
You won't know that for sure until you crack the virus that overrode your command, though, right? |
Fixer: |
Right. I'm going on previous experience. From the outside it doesn't look right. |
Tony Stark: |
Well, here's Ultron, so we're going to go with that until you tell us it's not him. Agent? |
Start[]
Quake: |
So you skulk in the cloud and jump out whenever there's a handy robot army to take over. Not a bad MO for a coward. |
If I was worried about your opinion of me, Ms. Johnson, we would not have arrived at this encounter. | Ultron: |
Quake: |
Ooh, burn. |
Burning is one way. But there are many other ways to end an organic life. I will employ all of them in time. | Ultron: |
Lose[]
Wherever you turn, I am there. I am watching. I am considering the best way to end your lives. | Ultron: |
Repeat[]
There are always more of me. But there is only one of you. How often will you risk yourself? | Ultron: |
Complete[]
Quake: |
This Ultron's in pieces. So are the Sentinels. |
Fixer: |
Good work. Wonder if there's still anything I can work with here... |
Tony Stark: |
Oh, no. I think you've done enough robot tinkering for now. We need to find you a new project to keep you out of trouble. |
Agent Coulson: |
We still have stray Sentinels around the area. Finish them off to keep Ultron from downloading himself into one of them. |
Epic Boss - Bastion[]
Reveal[]
Agent Coulson: |
Now he's decided it's time to make his move, and he's unleashed a fresh wave of Sentinels to announce it. |
Quake: |
I'll take him out. |
Agent Coulson: |
You're going to need some help, Quake. Agent, get there fast. |
Start[]
Whatever you've been told, you're no mutant. This isn't your fight. | Bastion: |
Quake: |
I don't think I need you to tell me what's worth fighting for. |
I'm trying to spare your life, girl. But if you want to throw it away for subhuman parasites, that's part of free will. | Bastion: |
Quake: |
So glad you understand. |
Lose[]
You have ten seconds to get out of my sight. Then all your high ideals die with you. | Bastion: |
Repeat[]
Quake: |
I'm going to keep coming after you until you don't get up anymore. |
Complete[]
Quake: |
He's gone. So much for the courage of his convictions. |
Agent Coulson: |
This is what Bastion does. Gathers an army, wrecks a bunch of stuff, then disappears to make a new plan based on what he's learned. |
Maria Hill: |
Fixer, you owe Quake a fancy dinner or something. Bastion and those Sentinels could have done a lot more damage than they did. |
Quake: |
He doesn't eat. Maybe he can just send me a box of chocolates or something. |
Fixer: |
People are always talking about me like I'm not here. |
Tony Stark: |
Well, you weren't a minute ago. Got those Sentinels back under control? |
Fixer: |
Yes. What's left of them. |
Tony Stark: |
Good. Disaster averted. |
Mission Complete[]
Tony Stark: |
Okay. Rogue Sentinel army destroyed. Ultron chased off. Threat to mutantkind defused. |
Agent Coulson: |
Pretty good day's work. |
Maria Hill: |
Any word from Wakanda? |
Tony Stark: |
No. There won't be. At least not until Reed or T'Challa or one of our other geniuses figures out how to see through a collapsed Incursion. |
Maria Hill: |
Hard to believe he's really gone. |
Agent Coulson: |
He never stays gone. We have to hope this time is the same. |
Mission 3[]
Mission Start[]
Agent Coulson: |
The Hand and the Maggia seem to have struck some kind of deal to establish joint operations here, and our intel suggests that Count Nefaria is the driving force. |
Maria Hill: |
Nefaria? He's stayed out of sight for a long time. What's bringing him back now? |
Agent Coulson: |
Sunfire has been on-site for weeks now getting all nuclear on Nefaria's operation. What's your sense, Shiro? |
Sunfire: |
The easy explanation is always greed. But I think there's more to it here. I think I will need to beat the answer out of Nefaria. |
Tony Stark: |
Good plan. |
Maria Hill: |
Find out why Nefaria's putting the Hand and Maggia together, and what's their sudden interest in Madripoor. |
Agent Coulson: |
If Sunfire's right, a whole new front might be about to open up in this war. |
Sunfire: |
I am almost always right. |
Deploy 1[]
Screen Text[]
Someone claiming to be a Hand ninja has contacted us saying he wants to switch sides. It's got to be a trick. Send Heimdall. Nobody can fool him.
Start[]
Agent Coulson: |
Heimdall, since you're one of our better lie detectors, we need you to interview a possible defector from the Hand. |
Heimdall: |
I will know the truth when I see him. |
Agent Coulson: |
That's what we're counting on. The minute you think anything is hinky, take appropriate action. |
Complete[]
Heimdall: |
Things were indeed...what was the word you used? |
Agent Coulson: |
Hinky. |
Heimdall: |
Yes. Appropriate action was taken. The Hand who set the ambush will set no more. |
Agent Coulson: |
Too bad. I was really hoping to question an actual Hand ninja instead of putting them in body bags like we always do. |
Deploy 2[]
Screen Text[]
In some ways the Maggia are old-fashioned gangsters. They like to smuggle things and corrupt dockworkers. Send a hero to survey the waterfront for illegal shipments coming from New York.
Deploy 3[]
Screen Text[]
We haven't seen any Circle of 8 killings recently. They're probably done now that all of the hammers have fallen. But we've been alerted to a strange ritual scene. Send a hero to check it out.
Deploy 4[]
Screen Text[]
We haven't operated regularly in Madripoor. Send a hero to touch base with the local authorities and let them know S.H.I.E.L.D. is here...and we're not going anywhere for a while.
Deploy 5[]
Screen Text[]
Cyclops is leading a working group designed to foster better cooperation between Madripoor and S.H.I.E.L.D.. The Hand have just attacked the group's meeting. He'll need to get the other officials safely out.
Start[]
Cyclops: |
Coulson. I got roped into a diplomatic meeting and now it looks like the Hand have decided to take out Madripoor's leadership all at once. |
Agent Coulson: |
We're sending help, Cyclops. Priority is keeping officials safe. |
Cyclops: |
The best way to do that is to get rid of the Hand. |
Agent Coulson: |
You have all the operational latitude you need. |
Complete[]
Cyclops: |
I see your Quinjet. You can mop up, but there's not much left to do. |
Agent Coulson: |
Any body count among the attending dignitaries? |
Cyclops: |
No. I got them all out. |
Agent Coulson: |
Well done. |
Heroic Battle[]
Screen Text[]
What's this? A new, portable Murderworld! Captain Britain, Kitty Pryde, and the Ultimate Spider-Man are the next contestants in Murderworld version 3.0!
Start[]
Captain Britain: |
What's happened here? |
Knuckle up baby. Welcome to Murderworld! | Robo Cage: |
Kitty Pryde: |
Doesn't really look like Murderworld. Where is... |
There's no need! You're looking at the latest in walking, talking, fighting machines, each with remote cameras to broadcast footage from anywhere. | Robo Cage: |
Ultimate Spider-Man: |
Great, so now Murderworld can come to us, instead of us ending up in Murderworld. |
That's about the size of it. | Robo Cage: |
Ultimate Spider-Man: |
This is spooky. That looks like Cage, but it sure doesn't talk like him. |
Kitty Pryde: |
At least this one doesn't have a hammer. |
Ready for the dying to start? The cameras are rolling. | Robo Cage: |
Captain Britain: |
I'm ready for my close-up. |
Lose[]
Murderworld ain't no place for heroes. | Robo Cage: |
Repeat[]
Kitty Pryde: |
I don't think we're out of this Murderworld just yet. |
Complete[]
Ultimate Spider-Man: |
I guess this portable Murderworld wasn't ready for prime time. |
Captain Britain: |
The Otherworld beats Murderworld anytime. |
MiniBoss - Hydro-Man[]
Reveal[]
Maria Hill: |
That's Hydro-Man. He's running errands for Count Nefaria now? |
Agent Coulson: |
So it would seem. Follow him and he might lead us to Nefaria. Or take him out now and Sunfire will re-establish contact with Nefaria on his own. |
Start[]
Uh oh. | Hydro-Man: |
Sunfire: |
S.H.I.E.L.D. has decided you officially have been given enough rope to hang yourself. |
I'm water, man. There's not a rope in the world that can hang me. | Hydro-Man: |
Sunfire: |
Once you are in custody, I will try to explain the use of figurative language to you. |
Lose[]
Get enough water and you can put out any fire. | Hydro-Man: |
Repeat[]
You can come after me again, but you're just gonna fizzle again. | Hydro-Man: |
Complete[]
Sunfire: |
Hydro-Man is as stupid as ever. He is also in custody. I cannot waste time watching over him. |
Maria Hill: |
We're on our way to pick him up. |
Tony Stark: |
Same old Sunfire. All warm and fuzzy and understanding. |
Sunfire: |
I will now find Count Nefaria. There are joint Hand-Maggia operations throughout the city. It does not appear that individual groups know what Nefaria's ultimate goal might be. |
Tony Stark: |
Then you'll just have to find out for us. |
Boss - Count Nefaria[]
Reveal[]
Sunfire: |
I have established Count Nefaria's location. Ready to engage. |
Tony Stark: |
You know Nefaria's not just a criminal goon, right? Baron Zemo worked him over a few years back, and now he's a heavyweight. |
Sunfire: |
I am aware of the information in S.H.I.E.L.D. dossiers. |
Tony Stark: |
Oh, well, forgive us for making sure you're adequately briefed. Please proceed as you see fit. |
Sunfire: |
That was my intention. |
Start[]
Ah, Sunfire. You have arrived just in time to see my first exploratory trip. | Count Nefaria: |
Sunfire: |
I'm guessing you don't mean back to Italy. |
Hardly. I will be traveling to the mystical city of K'un Lun with a small retinue...and that leaves more than enough to deal with you. | Count Nefaria: |
Sunfire: |
There aren't enough ninjas in the world to deal with me. Let alone your Maggia. They might scare old shopkeepers, but not me. |
In-Fight[]
With the Hand and Maggia united, I will control the mystical channel to the Beast, and the financial might of the Maggia. | Count Nefaria: |
Sunfire: |
Planning to buy the Beast something nice? |
Planning to use its occult power to shield myself--and those whom I choose as companions--from Incursions. You are not invited. | Count Nefaria: |
Sunfire: |
Then I'm breaking the party up. |
Lose[]
You are somewhat overmatched, Shiro. Desist now and I will injure you no further. | Count Nefaria: |
Repeat[]
What ego! What magnificent obstinacy! I admire your daring. | Count Nefaria: |
Complete[]
Sunfire: |
Nefaria is planning to use Madripoor as a base from which to invade K'un Lun. That's why he needs the Hand. |
Agent Coulson: |
Is that where he went? K'un Lun? |
Sunfire: |
I believe so. |
Tony Stark: |
We ought to bring Danny Rand in on this. He's our K'un Lun expert. |
Maria Hill: |
That's a good idea. Once we've finished cleaning up this mess, we'll see what he has to say. |
Mission Complete[]
Tony Stark: |
K'un Lun? Would it survive an Incursion? It's part of this universe, right? |
Tony Stark: |
I bet he's also planning to scavenge the tech from the alien ship that created the rift in the first place. I know I would. |
Maria Hill: |
If Count Nefaria is planning to gain a foothold in K'un Lun, we need to hunt him there. |
Maria Hill: |
Disagree. Whatever he does in Madripoor or K'un Lun will only make the Serpent stronger. We have to stay on him. |
Agent Coulson: |
Fine. I'll reach out to Iron Fist and let him take the first steps.
Meanwhile, we're headed back to -- |
Tony Stark: |
Sorry to interrupt, but we're not going anywhere. Breaking news. |
Moon Knight: |
The Mandarin is in Madripoor. I saw him myself. |
Tony Stark: |
That means we're staying. Forget about K'un Lun. Rest up and get ready. |
Mission 4[]
Mission Start[]
Tony Stark: |
Whatever Nefaria is planning, the Mandarin is the bigger problem. I think that goes without saying even though I just said it. |
Maria Hill: |
The Hand and the Circle of 8 are both in Madripoor. Either they're drawn by the Mandarin's promises, or he's controlling them. |
Agent Coulson: |
I don't think even the Mandarin could shake the Circle of 8 from their dedication to the Serpent. But the Hand is another story.
Moon Knight has more news. |
Agent Coulson: |
If it's true, that's something we ought to know about. You're our man here, Moon Knight. Bring us the Mandarin and the Living Monolith. |
Deploy 1[]
Screen Text[]
Buccaneer Bay is one of the world's worst slums. Also there are Circle of 8 cultists holed up here. Send a hero to take them out.
Deploy 2[]
Screen Text[]
Madripoor port authorities have intercepted a shipment intended for Nefaria. It doesn't look like anything too unusual, but send a hero to make sure.
Deploy 3[]
Screen Text[]
One of Nefaria's men has escaped custody, possibly with intel about our Madripoor operations. Wolverine knows this city well. Send him to hunt down the runaway.
Start[]
Maria Hill: |
Logan, a Maggia foot soldier is on the run somewhere in the city with operational details about our bases in Madripoor. |
Wolverine: |
He won't get far. |
Complete[]
Wolverine: |
Like I said. He didn't get far. |
Deploy 4[]
Screen Text[]
Along with all the other weirdness in Madripoor, there are vampires at this location. We don't have time for finesse. Send the Human Torch to solve the problem before it spreads.
Start[]
Tony Stark: |
Vampires. If only we could make it rain garlic, or surround them with running water until they starved or something. Does that work? |
Maria Hill: |
You know one of the best ways to kill vampires is burning them, right? |
Human Torch: |
I think I heard someone calling me. |
Complete[]
Human Torch: |
I gotta tell you, it's not often I get to just unload on a building without worrying about who's inside. That was...I shouldn't admit how much fun that was. |
Tony Stark: |
Psych eval later for you, pal. But right now let's enjoy watching the bonfire. |
Deploy 5[]
Screen Text[]
We've got a Maggia group trapped in this group of shacks, but field response teams need some help going door to door to root them out.
Heroic Battle[]
Screen Text[]
Blade has recruited the help of Morbius to help tie up some loose ends that go bump in the night. Little did they know, their cleanup would lead them to The Prince of Darkness, Vlad Dracula, himself.
Start[]
Blade: |
Seems we have an infestation. |
Morbius: |
This is no ordinary clan. Dracula himself is here! |
A half-breed and a pretender. You dare much. You will accomplish little except your own demise. | Dracula: |
Blade: |
If I had a nickel for every time someone told me I'd bitten off more than I can chew... |
Something no one would dare say to the King of Vampires! | Dracula: |
Morbius: |
That sounds like a challenge. |
Lose[]
Finish them. | Dracula: |
Repeat[]
Blade: |
We're not done killing yet. |
Complete[]
Morbius: |
Maybe Dracula bit off more than he could chew. |
Blade: |
Well, we didn't kill him. So let's not pat ourselves on the back too much. |
Morbius: |
We can pat ourselves a little. This is a lot of dead vampires. |
Blade: |
The big prize is still out there. |
MiniBoss - Living Pharaoh[]
Reveal[]
Moon Knight: |
Abdol is here. Is it time to take him out? He's trying to stay close to the Mandarin, but right now they're separated. |
Start[]
Moon Knight: |
You'd have had a better chance if you stuck closer to the Mandarin, Abdol. |
Abdol needs no protection. Certainly not from such as you. I have mastered the secrets of Incursions! | Living Pharaoh: |
Moon Knight: |
Is that right. |
You will see, avatar of Khonshu. There are secrets other than those revealed by the moon. | Living Pharaoh: |
Lose[]
Has Khonshu abandoned you? | Living Pharaoh: |
Repeat[]
You will see. I bear the power of the Incursion--the powers of the universe itself! | Living Pharaoh: |
Complete[]
Tony Stark: |
Seems like everyone's hatching a plan to deal with Incursions. Most of them cause more problems than they solve. |
Maria Hill: |
Including ours, so far. It cost us Fury. |
Tony Stark: |
You have a better idea? I'm listening.
Okay. If Abdol really does have what he thinks he has, we might be able to use it to crack open a portal and get Nick back. |
Agent Coulson: |
You never know. This is the same guy who turned Havok into a battery to power himself up. |
Tony Stark: |
All due respect to Havok, he's not the same kind of energy well as an Incursion. I'm skeptical. |
Maria Hill: |
He's grandiose for sure, but we should investigate. Prep him for travel back to the Raft. |
Boss - Mandarin[]
Reveal[]
Maria Hill: |
We've got everything in place for the op to take the Mandarin down. |
Tony Stark: |
Agent, bring me some of those rings, would you? |
Agent Coulson: |
If we can capture the Mandarin, that would be the optimal outcome. It's also worth knowing whether he really does have an established connection to K'un L'un. |
Tony Stark: |
Intel-gathering and mortal combat all in one mission. These are the best. |
Start[]
The hero presents himself, on his devout crusade. Have you come to rid the world of my menace, hero? | Mandarin: |
Moon Knight: |
That's about the size of it. You start overrunning Madripoor with the Hand and Circle of 8 killers, you get S.H.I.E.L.D.'s attention pretty quick. |
Moon Knight: |
Unlike the Hand. What did you offer Nefaria to make him your errand boy? |
I do not care enough for your opinion to lie to you. Nefaria wants K'un Lun but he will not have it. He controls the rabble while I control Incursions. And that is all I have to say. | Mandarin: |
Lose[]
One derives no pleasure from the defeat of an overmatched adversary. | Mandarin: |
Repeat[]
You are a complication. Nothing more. My plans proceed apace. | Mandarin: |
Complete[]
Moon Knight: |
He wasn't kidding about K'un L'un. Thought I had him, but he did something with one of his rings and a portal opened up.
I could see K'un L'un on the other side. |
Maria Hill: |
We'll have to go after him there sooner or later. |
Tony Stark: |
I vote for later. If the Mandarin is focused on a power play, I'd rather it be in K'un L'un than here. |
Agent Coulson: |
Unless he's correct that something in the nature of K'un L'un will protect it from Incursions? |
Mission Complete[]
Maria Hill: |
We missed a big chance there. |
Tony Stark: |
Come on. Did any of us really think Moon Knight was just going to take out the Mandarin? |
Maria Hill: |
You mean you don't think he could because you've never been able to? |
Tony Stark: |
I've never been able to have conversations with Egyptian gods, either, but that's because I'm a rational person instead of a nut. |
Maria Hill: |
We have Abdol on ice, anyway. Get him back to the Raft and we'll see if there's anything to his claims about Incursions. |
Agent Coulson: |
Interesting point the Mandarin made about the Circle of 8. They aren't leaving their standard trail of bodies. |
Maria Hill: |
The Serpent must be out of hammers. Have we counted eight hammerfalls? |
Agent Coulson: |
Yes. Now that we've figured out how to detect them, I went back through satellite records and there have been eight matching impacts. |
Tony Stark: |
But only six Worthy so far. The Serpent's show isn't quite ready to begin. |
However, my show has just begun. You have made war on my home, Tony Stark. Now look to yours, and know that you cannot hide from me...on this world or any other. | Mandarin: |
Agent Coulson: |
Mr. Stark, we have a video feed from near Avengers Tower-- |
What is it they say about the man who leaves his home unguarded to hunt his enemy? | Mandarin: |
Maria Hill: |
It's gone. Avengers Tower is gone. |
Mission 5[]
Mission Start[]
Tony Stark: |
Look at my house. My lab. My cars...I'm gonna kill him. |
Agent Coulson: |
We have to find him first. |
Tony Stark: |
Oh, don't worry about that. He started this. I'm going to finish it. |
Maria Hill: |
We've got something else to handle first. |
Tony Stark: |
No. Nothing else is first. This is first. |
Captain America: |
Stark, you need to stop throwing a tantrum about your stuff and listen to Hill. |
Maria Hill: |
Thane is on the run...right back to us. He's got some...unsettling news. I'll let him explain. |
Thane: |
The Mandarin's claims are true. He has been interfering with Incursions. And he's not alone. My father is involved as well. |
Tony Stark: |
Saving Earth? Thanos? Pardon me if I'm skeptical. Doesn't he spend most of his time plotting to kill us all? |
Agent Coulson: |
Clarity, please. There are plans to destroy the Earth as a way of avoiding Incursions? |
Thane: |
Yes. Is that clear enough? |
Tony Stark: |
I feel like I've heard this story before. Is your father making one of those plans? |
Thane: |
Possibly. All I know is he is trying to manipulate Incursions, and he has been in contact with the Mandarin. I should also mention that the Black Order is hunting me down again. |
Thane: |
Would you rather not have known? |
Agent Coulson: |
He has a point. We will proceed with the recovery operations around Avengers Tower and also get ready to counter the Black Order. |
Maria Hill: |
Thane, I trust you'll be taking an active role in your own defense? |
Thane: |
When it comes to fighting the Black Order, I am...highly motivated. |
Tony Stark: |
Me too. Let's get this done. I have a vendetta to indulge. |
Deploy 1[]
Screen Text[]
First responders need all the help they can get evacuating civilian staff from the remains of Avengers Tower. Send a hero to help out.
Deploy 2[]
Screen Text[]
Anti-Venom received a tip that someone might be trying to dose a symbiote with Terrigen gas. He needs to follow it up.
Start[]
Anti-Venom: |
Symbiotes are bad enough. Add Terrigenesis to them and who knows what abomination will appear. |
Maria Hill: |
Pursue the lead, but let's not get evangelical about it, all right? |
Complete[]
Anti-Venom: |
I found evidence that someone has used Terrigen gas, but I haven't found any symbiotes. |
Maria Hill: |
Good. For a minute I was worried Carnage might have had some more babies. |
Agent Coulson: |
Terrigen gas is worrisome, though. We need to track the source. I'll get on that. |
Anti-Venom: |
I have a survivor of the experiment. I'll bring her in. She needs help. |
Deploy 3[]
Screen Text[]
We're still evacuating Avengers Tower, and the lower levels of it are unstable. Send a hero to help speed up the rescue effort.
Deploy 4[]
Screen Text[]
Some of the data in Hank Pym's lab is protected so only he can access it. We'd better get him over there before the rest of the tower comes down.
Start[]
Tony Stark: |
Hank, if you want to save your work, now's the time. |
Hank Pym: |
I'm on my way. |
Complete[]
Hank Pym: |
I got everything. Tony, I want to say I'm sorry to see this. You're an abrasive jackass, but I know this was hard on you. |
Tony Stark: |
Aw, thanks. |
Deploy 5[]
Screen Text[]
The destruction of Avengers Tower has also damaged some nearby buildings. Emergency crews need help. Send whoever you can.
Heroic Battle[]
Screen Text[]
Magneto has been assisting S.H.I.E.L.D.'s research and development team at the request of Reed Richards. They're exploring a new theory involving magnetism to repulse and prevent future Incursions. Unfortunately, Ronan the Accuser has been sent by the Supreme Intelligence to prevent any further disruptions to the natural order of the cosmos.
Start[]
Mr. Fantastic: |
Ronan! You're interrupting an extremely delicate procedure. |
With good reason, Reed Richards. You are accused of endangering this very universe by your meddling with the fabric of the cosmos. | Ronan: |
Magneto: |
And I? |
Do you deny that you have assisted Richards and his cohorts in the endeavor to control the phenomena known as Incursions? | Ronan: |
Magneto: |
I do not. We repel Incursions to save our Earth, no matter what the cost. To do otherwise would be suicide. |
Then you also stand so accused. How do you answer? | Ronan: |
Mr. Fantastic: |
I think I can answer for both of us: Get off our planet. |
In-Fight[]
The Universal Weapon is beyond your powers, Magneto! | Ronan: |
Magneto: |
Then it is fortunate I do not need to attack it to defeat you. |
Lose[]
Richards, you are too feeble to hold me, and Magneto, you see now the limits of your magnetic powers. | Ronan: |
Repeat[]
Mr. Fantastic: |
You accused us already. Don't the Kree believe in double jeopardy? |
Complete[]
Magneto: |
He thought my powers could not affect him because his Universal Weapon is not magnetic? Ronan may be a mighty Accuser, but a scientist he is not. |
Mr. Fantastic: |
Zealots don't usually make good scientists. Let's get back to work. |
MiniBoss - Nebula[]
Reveal[]
Maria Hill: |
Nebula? I thought you said the Black Order was hunting you, Thane. |
Thane: |
They are. Apparently my father isn't impressed with their track record on Earth so he's sent along...my sister...for some extra help. |
Tony Stark: |
I didn't know she had joined up with the Cull Obsidian. Shouldn't she be calling herself something blacker? |
Start[]
Thane: |
Our father sends one of his children to kill the other. That is all one needs to know about him. |
Not kill, necessarily--although I won't mind. He will be just as happy to have you brought to him. So he can kill you himself. | Nebula: |
Lose[]
Now, brother. Would you die now or later? | Nebula: |
Repeat[]
You should have kept running. | Nebula: |
Complete[]
Tony Stark: |
Sibling rivalries. So bitter. |
Thane: |
Don't trivialize what you've never experienced. |
Tony Stark: |
I've experienced plenty of people trying to kill me. Just so happens none of them was ever my sister. Brother, sure, but Arno was kind of a nut...nevermind. |
Maria Hill: |
Thane, we're going to be staying close to you while you try to draw out Proxima Midnight. In the meantime, feel free to put any Circle of 8 cultists you see in amber. |
MiniBoss - Black Dwarf[]
Reveal[]
Maria Hill: |
Here comes Black Dwarf. Doesn't look like we can put this confrontation off any longer. |
Thane: |
Good. I've been running for too long already. |
Agent Coulson: |
Agent, be aware of a heavy Circle of 8 presence near Black Dwarf. They seem to be attracted to him. |
Tony Stark: |
They like nihilists. |
Start[]
Thanos is vilified for killing his children. But if all must die, what sin is there in killing? | Black Dwarf: |
Thane: |
If death is so trivial, maybe you'd care to go first? |
Not caring to avoid one's end is not the same as seeking it out, son of Thanos. You will not banter me into suicide. | Black Dwarf: |
Thane: |
It was worth a try. |
Lose[]
To run from your death is to deny your life. Stand. Face it. | Black Dwarf: |
Repeat[]
Thane: |
Your real super power is invincible nihilism, isn't it? |
Complete[]
Thane: |
Thank you for coming to my aid. I had nowhere else to run. |
Tony Stark: |
Well, don't thank us just yet. Proxima Midnight's still out there, and we don't know who else your dear old dad might have sent. |
Thane: |
All the same, I'm grateful. Earth is my home too, and I am ready to defend it. |
Boss - Proxima Midnight[]
Reveal[]
Tony Stark: |
There she is. Our Lady of the Nasty Spear. |
Maria Hill: |
Thane, are you ready? Proxima Midnight is coming your way. |
Thane: |
Then I guess I'd better be ready. |
Start[]
Troublesome child. I don't know why your father bothers to seek you out. It would be almost as simple to eliminate this entire planet just to be sure of your demise. | Proxima Midnight: |
Thane: |
You know my father. He would see me die with his own eyes. |
True. I will have to take care not to kill you, however satisfying that would be. | Proxima Midnight: |
Thane: |
Good thing I don't have that to worry about. |
Lose[]
Come along now, prodigal son. Your father is waiting. | Proxima Midnight: |
Repeat[]
Thane: |
You will not take me to my father alive. Do you have what it takes to kill me yourself? |
Complete[]
Thane: |
Maybe that will teach them to leave me alone. |
Agent Coulson: |
I kind of doubt that. My guess is the next time Thanos tries to find you, he'll make a personal appearance. |
Maria Hill: |
We'd better be ready for that. |
Tony Stark: |
Watch the skies... |
Thane: |
I should have killed her. She deserves death for what she has done. |
Tony Stark: |
You might still get another crack at her. Don't be in a rush to kill people. It's not a good way to live. |
Mission Complete[]
Maria Hill: |
Have we made sure that there aren't any other members of the Cull Obsidian lurking around? |
Agent Coulson: |
Looks like it was only Proxima and Black Dwarf. Thane, do you agree? |
Thane: |
I think if any others of the Black Order were here, they would have come after me while Proxima was here to lead them. |
Maria Hill: |
For now, then, we're going on the assumption that we're in the clear. But Thanos won't take this lightly.
Whatever happens with the Worthy, we'd better be ready to see him again. |
Thane: |
I am. |
Agent Coulson: |
Okay, then. All we have to do is survive the Worthy and make sure nobody destroys our planet before we figure out how to stop Incursions. |
Tony Stark: |
Piece of cake. Now let's find the Mandarin. |
Mission 6[]
Mission Start[]
Maria Hill: |
We've been seeing isolated instances of Terrigenesis in the general population around the world.
As we investigated, we traced one source to Maximus the Mad, who apparently still has some of the Terrigen Paragenesis[1] serum he used to create his army for Thanos. |
Agent Coulson: |
Only now he's brokered a deal to sell his army to Mr. Sinister...in return for what, we're not sure. Could be Sinister wants a piece of whatever the Mandarin and Thanos are planning. |
Maria Hill: |
Deathlok has been keeping an eye on Sinister for us. Take it away. |
Deathlok: |
Two birds, one stone. |
Deploy 1[]
Screen Text[]
We need some mighty striking power to take out a group of Mr. Sinister's Test Subjects. They're together now but someone needs to take them out before they disperse through the city.
Start[]
Angela: |
Certainly...although I was hoping to be given one of the Worthy to destroy. |
Agent Coulson: |
You might yet have that chance. |
Complete[]
Angela: |
It is done. Now about that Worthy... |
Agent Coulson: |
Believe me, you're on the short list when we get the chance to take them on directly. |
Deploy 2[]
Screen Text[]
With Test Subjects running amok, there's a real threat to public safety. We need to coordinate with local police. Send a liaison to make sure we're keeping on mission and keeping the people of this city safe.
Deploy 3[]
Screen Text[]
We need to capture some of the Paragenes without damaging them. That's the only way we're going to figure out exactly how Maximus' technique works. Karnak should be able to disable them without leaving much of a mark.
Start[]
Karnak: |
That's what I do best. I'll be very gentle. |
Complete[]
Karnak: |
The Paragenes are fairly easy to disable...if you know the trick. |
Tony Stark: |
Just bring them in so we can have a look, all right? We'll cheer when you get here. |
Deploy 4[]
Screen Text[]
Some of the Paragenes might yield useful intelligence if we can get them over the shock of what's been done to them. Gorgon has worked with plenty of Inhumans post-Terrigenesis. He should be able to help.
Start[]
Agent Coulson: |
Gorgon, you've got a specialty in helping people adapt to their exposure to Terrigen Mists, right? |
Gorgon: |
That's something I've studied. I'm not sure the Paragenes will respond to the techniques I learned in Attilan, however. |
Agent Coulson: |
Give it a try. |
Complete[]
Gorgon: |
I may have something useful. As soon as I can get together with those doing the physical analysis I'll know more. |
Agent Coulson: |
Then let's make that meeting happen. |
Deploy 5[]
Screen Text[]
Send a hero to make sure the Test Subjects--or Sugar Man--aren't making a move to get across the water to Utopia. Let's keep this problem as contained as we can.
Heroic Battle[]
Screen Text[]
The Inhuman royal family has tracked down the whereabouts of Maximus the Mad to alab filled with twisted genetic experiments. Can Black Bolt and Medusa convince Maximus that his path to Paragenesis is ill conceived at this Inhuman family reunion?
Start[]
Medusa: |
So, you still pursue your Paragenesis project. And now you sell your knowledge to Mister Sinister. Is nothing beneath you? |
I wouldn't put it like that. I explore pathways that others do not dare. | Maximus the Mad: |
Medusa: |
Blackagar begs you to cease your madness. |
Lose[]
Now what does Blackagar say, sister-in-law? | Maximus the Mad: |
Repeat[]
All through the multiverse, Earths are dying out. Do you want to be trapped on this one when it is our turn? | Maximus the Mad: |
Complete[]
Medusa: |
Maximus has fled. His minions are still loose throughout the city, though...and we may not have seen the last of him, either. |
MiniBoss - Toad[]
Reveal[]
Agent Coulson: |
Deathlok, Toad is headed your way with a purpose. We have a team that can try to cut him off. |
Deathlok: |
Don't. I might be able to learn something about Sinister's operation from Toad. |
Agent Coulson: |
Understood. We'll be monitoring the situation. |
Maria Hill: |
Wasn't he hanging on with the Hellfire Club when the Brotherhood war broke out? |
Agent Coulson: |
Toad goes where someone makes him feel useful. Sinister must have made him a better offer. |
Start[]
Better stay back, Deathlok. Or don't, but the more you listen to me warning you, the more Paragenes get here to make your life interesting. I made that name up myself. | Toad: |
Deathlok: |
I might have guessed. I'm surprised Sinister hasn't gone to work on you yet, Toad. He'd probably love to take you apart and see how you tick. |
Sinister has a great plan. The only plan that will work! | Toad: |
Deathlok: |
You don't have Mystique or Magneto to fawn over anymore, do you? Good you've found someone even more despicable than they used to be. |
Deathlok: |
Just like water finds its level, Toad finds his. |
Lose[]
Now you're level, Deathlok--as in flat on your back. | Toad: |
Repeat[]
Next time you see Mystique, tell her we haven't forgotten what she did. | Toad: |
Complete[]
Deathlok: |
I never believed the old saying that touching a toad would gave you warts...until I touched Toad. |
Tony Stark: |
Poor old Toad. Nobody loves him. Even the people toward whom he is most obsequious despise him...huh. Wonder if he ever noticed that correlation. |
Deathlok: |
Philosophize later, Stark. Send a team to pick him up. |
MiniBoss - Sugar Man[]
Reveal[]
Maria Hill: |
Sugar Man. Popping into existence out of nowhere. That shrinking power of his is really unsettling. |
Ant-Man: |
I heard that. |
Wasp: |
Me too. |
Maria Hill: |
You both know what I mean. Everyone's so touchy. |
Agent Coulson: |
Agent, if your feelings aren't too hurt, perhaps you could assist Deathlok in engaging Sugar Man? |
Start[]
Deathlok: |
Got some experiments planned? Looks like Maximus already did a number on these people. |
He did. But I'm just getting started. | Sugar Man: |
Deathlok: |
Started, ended...easy to confuse those. |
...what? | Sugar Man: |
Deathlok: |
Am I moving too fast for you? Let me demonstrate. |
Lose[]
Sinister's going to love getting a crack at you. He'll make some improvements. | Sugar Man: |
Repeat[]
Sinister's going to peel the pieces off you he thinks he can use, one at a time... | Sugar Man: |
Complete[]
Deathlok: |
I am holding Sugar Man and waiting to see if Sinister will be baited out into the open. My guess is he won't, but I'll hang here for a few minutes to see. |
Tony Stark: |
We know what you're really doing. Posing with your vanquished foe, et cetera. Draws the ladies every time. |
Deathlok: |
I am ignoring you, Stark. Come get Sugar Man before I leave him here. |
Boss - Maximus the Mad[]
Reveal[]
Maria Hill: |
Deathlok has found Maximus. |
Deathlok: |
And some of his Paragenesis Test Subjects. Make that a lot of them. |
Maria Hill: |
Mr. Sinister must be nearby. Have you had any communication with Medusa? |
Deathlok: |
No. They might not have seen Maximus yet and they're nowhere in the area. |
Agent Coulson: |
He's all yours, then. |
Start[]
Deathlok: |
Well, now, how's this for a chance encounter? I was looking for your business partner. Your brother is looking for you. |
Oh, of that I have no doubt. | Maximus the Mad: |
Deathlok: |
The thing is, in about ten minutes, you're going to wish he'd found you before I did. |
Brilliantly bantered! But once you have seen my Paragenesis army in action, you might also wish that. | Maximus the Mad: |
In-Fight[]
With an army of Paragenes, we will wait until the final Incursion looms...then leave this Earth to its fate and conquer the last one remaining. | Maximus the Mad: |
Deathlok: |
You know you're not the only one with that plan, right? |
Lose[]
Now you're the one who wishes my brother had found me! Haha! | Maximus the Mad: |
Repeat[]
Come to wheel and deal? Sorry. I got a better offer. | Maximus the Mad: |
Complete[]
Agent Coulson: |
Status, please, Deathlok. |
Deathlok: |
Maximus hid out behind his Paragenesis forces. They did a good job of stopping a lot of ordnance meant for him. |
Deathlok: |
In other words, he got away. |
Agent Coulson: |
Stay on him, please. But be very careful of Mr. Sinister. We expect he'll try to protect his investment in these Paragenesis Test Subjects. |
Epic Boss - Mr. Sinister[]
Reveal[]
Tony Stark: |
Sinister finally shows up to protect his investment. |
Deathlok: |
That's what I've been waiting for. |
Medusa: |
Maximus is on the run. We are having trouble tracking him. |
Deathlok: |
You go on and track him. I'm going to take my shot at Sinister. |
Start[]
The cyborg soldier. Deathlok, yes? That's what they call you? | Mr. Sinister: |
Deathlok: |
Doesn't matter what people call me. |
I have experimented with cyborgs. It's a dead end, really. The real future of human improvement lies in the genome, not the circuit. | Mr. Sinister: |
You're superannuated, I'm afraid. | Mr. Sinister: |
Deathlok: |
Stop breaking my heart. |
In-Fight[]
Deathlok: |
You're buying foot soldiers from Maximus so you can take over an Incursion Earth? I don't see the long-term investment there. |
Only if there is no end to Incursions. But that, as you will see, is not the case. Greater minds than yours are on the verge of something quite extraordinary. | Mr. Sinister: |
Deathlok: |
I'll eat crow then. Right now, I'm lumping you in with all the other nuts who have doomsday plans. |
You cannot stop progress. Incursions open up new worlds, and before they are destroyed I can make use of them. | Mr. Sinister: |
Deathlok: |
That's not what most of us would call progress. |

Your cyborg enhancements are intriguing...but I can see there are still some improvements to make. | Mr. Sinister: |
Repeat[]
You will be quite suitable as raw material, I think. | Mr. Sinister: |
Complete[]
Deathlok: |
Sinister could see things weren't going his way. He got out while he still had Paragenesis Test Subjects to cover him. |
Maria Hill: |
Have you neutralized all of them? |
Deathlok: |
They're not going to be any trouble. What's the status on Maximus? |
Maria Hill: |
Still at large. |
Mission Complete[]
Mr. Fantastic: |
We're analyzing the Test Subjects to gather more information about the Paragenesis serum. More information should be available soon. |
Tony Stark: |
Did we break up the deal between Maximus and Sinister? |
Agent Coulson: |
What do Sugar Man and Toad know? |
Maria Hill: |
We're still questioning them, but it's not likely we'll get much useful intel. Sinister's too smart to trust either of them with critical information. |
Maria Hill: |
The other question is what the endgame of Incursions is. I've got a feeling we won't have much longer to wait before we find out. Thanos won't wait forever before making his move. |
Tony Stark: |
As long as finding out doesn't mean watching the universe get destroyed, I'm looking forward to it. |
- Note
- ↑ While the mission talks about Paragenesis Test Subjects (IE, the Iota and Theta variants), all the fights are against regular test subjects.
