Mission 1

Maria Hill:

The Enchantress has alerted us to a situation in London. The Hellfire Club has joined forces with Morgan le Fay to create a gateway to Otherworld.

Agent Coulson:

They may be looking for an escape hatch to avoid the Worthy, figuring that Otherworld will be safe.

Enchantress:

I rather suspect they are trying to circumvent the All-father's dimensional barrier.

Tony Stark:

Wait. Back up. Dimensional barrier?

Enchantress:

You didn't know? The barrier cutting this world off from all others is Odin's work. He sees this world the way a sailor sees the leaky part of a ship. If the hull cannot be patched, at least the doors can be sealed.

Maria Hill:

If that's true, Odin is going to take a personal interest in making sure his barrier isn't tested.

Enchantress:

Yes, he will. I would expect there to be consequences.

Maria Hill:

In other words, if we can't stop the Hellfire Club from opening this gateway, Odin is going to see that as a provocation.

Agent Coulson:

That's something we should really try to avoid.

Tony Stark:

Are we sure it's Odin behind this? We haven't even confirmed for sure that there is a barrier.

Enchantress:

How shall I prove it to you? Would you like to test it yourself?

Tony Stark:

Dimensional travel's not really my thing.

Enchantress:

I thought not.

Maria Hill:

Union jack and Captain Britain are already in the field, along with Spitfire. They'll be taking point because Excalibur has already been tracking the Hellfire Club.

Agent Coulson:

They've also reported that the Black Knight has become Mokk, and he's on the rampage destroying Hellfire Club safe houses all over the city.

Maria Hill:

So we now have seven of the eight Worthy accounted for. We'll need to be on the lookout for him, and ready to assist Excalibur if they run into him first.

Agent Coulson:

But our primary mission is preventing the Hellfire Club from holding their Otherworldportal open.

Maria Hill:

If and when we do find Morgan le Fay, the Scarlet Witch is on standby to confront her.

Your call, Agent. She may lead us to Morgan le Fay, or we might be helping ourselves if we can remove her before we tangle with Morgan and Sebastian Shaw.

Unless someone quietly killed him, he's involved. The Hellfire Club is his baby.

There's a blizzard of magical phenomena all over the city, so isolating the point source is trickier than we thought. Strange could do it quicker.

Maria Hill:

He's otherwise engaged. The question is how quickly can you do it?

Some of the Hellfire personnel are getting back in the truck.

Maria Hill:

Is Dragoness with them?

Union Jack:

Maria Hill:

Shut it down, stop it from opening, whatever. Also Jack ran off after the Hellfire goons who tried to escape. We can't leave Dragoness there to wake up.

There he is. I've spotted Sebastian Shaw. He got out of a car here and went into the basement of this building.

Tony Stark:

Basement, huh? Perfect for arcane skullduggery. Better dig him out.

All the secondary bursts of magical energy are making it hard to pinpoint the portal, but I think I've just about got it.

We've zeroed in on the point source of the magical emanations...and you will not be surprised to learn we've seen Morgan le Fay.

Let's get moving, then. I'm getting antsy watching everyone else.

Maria Hill:

We needed to keep you fresh. Taking Morgan le Fay isn't easy, and we can't afford to lose.

We have a rapidly evolving situation here. Mokk absorbed everything Morgan could throw at him, and then she disappeared. So did he. All that's left here is wreckage and Hellfire Club bodies.

Maria Hill:

That's not nearly bad as what would have happened if she'd succeeded in testing the barrier.

Agent Coulson:

Do we know what would happen?

Maria Hill:

We can guess. And I don't think we really want to find out.

Epic Boss - Mokk

Maria Hill:

Mokk has already destroyed most of the Hellfire Club safe houses in London, and it looks like he's not done yet.

Tony Stark:

Seems like maybe we should encourage that.

Maria Hill:

We're not going to stand around and let him leave a trail of bodies all over the city. Even if they're the bodies of our enemies.

Tony Stark:

I guess.

Maria Hill:

Our British friends are closing in. Whichever of them finds him first has orders to engage, but we'll need to have support teams ready to go in.

The Serpent is using them to test our strength.

Maria Hill:

No, I think he's using them to set up a bunch of battles that people will see we aren't winning. That spreads fear.

Agent Coulson:

Then it's time for us to start winning some.

Tony Stark:

Well, London is still standing. Mostly. And we now have seven of the eight Worthy hammers accounted for.

Maria Hill:

Meanwhile the world's coming apart. The Serpent's using the Worthy for hit-and-run battles to show we can't defeat them. If we don't start winning some of those battles more decisively, Cul is going to keep getting stronger, and Odin --

Tony Stark:

Okay. We know what the worst-case scenario is. Until the eight Worthy appears, we are going to be highly visible all over the world putting the boots to villains.

Maria Hill:

Particularly the ones who are testing Odin's barrier.

Agent Coulson:

People need to know they can count on us. And the next place they're going to see that is Wakanda. T'Challa's detecting some very unusual Incursion oscillations. He suspects someone is trying to manipulate Incursion energies, which is even more stupid and reckless than opening a portal to Otherworld.

Maria Hill:

Then let's get there and put a stop to it.

Mission 2

Mission Start

Maria Hill:

T'Challa has been tracking an anomalous number of Incursion events in Wakanda, and after a little surveillance we think we've found the cause.

Agent Coulson:

Energy readings from near the Incursions indicate the presence of the Cosmic Cube. Its signature is very distinctive.

Maria Hill:

And the presence of the Cosmic Cube can only mean one thing.

Black Panther:

The Red Skull and HYDRA are in Wakanda again.

Agent Coulson:

As near as we can tell, he's siphoning Incursion energies into the Cosmic Cube.

Black Panther:

Which has had the side effect of causing more Incursions.

Agent Coulson:

HYDRA's tried to manipulate Incursions before, but this time we're concerned the Red Skull has detected Odin's barrier and is trying to breach it.

Maria Hill:

In London, we were worried about Otherworld monsters and Odin's reaction. Now we've still got Odin's reaction to worry about, but on top of that it's a real possibility that the Red Skull will inadvertently trigger an Incursion he can't control.

Tony Stark:

Thay seem to have built a network of energy matrices to store the Incursion power once they've siphoned it. If we can take those out...

Maria Hill:

We're going hard. The people of this planet are going to see that HYDRA has endangered them for the last time.

Mobilize them fast. I'm already inside.

Black Widow:

You're not going to believe this, but the Viper just shot her way into this HYDRA base and killed everyone. She got her own force with her and they're doing something to the Incursion matrix.

Tony Stark:

Stand off in case she's blowing it up.

Black Widow:

It's a little too late to stand off. I'm already inside. And why would she blow it up? She's taking it for herself.

Maria Hill:

To do what?

Black Widow:

Well, Grim Reaper's here with her. She just hooked him up to some kind of machine connected to the matrix. Put two and two together...she's going to try to power him up so they can go after the Red Skull.

Tony Stark:

As much as I love HYDRA infighting, that's not a good idea.

If you didn't have Grim Reaper locked up in that machine, I'd be outnumbered.

You're outnumbered anyway, Agent Romanoff. One of me against one of you is still a mismatch.

Viper:

There are so many plots and counterplots inside HYDRA that even I have a hard time following them.

Agent Coulson:

Tough to believe Grim Reaper would just strap himself into that machine so Viper could...well, on second thought, that's not hard to believe at all.

Maria Hill:

Not with the power it would have given him.

Black Widow:

He's still out cold from the overload. Viper's gone, though. And the Red Skull will know what she tried.

Maria Hill:

Then he'll be accelerating his plans. We need to accelerate ours too.

We've detected a new burst of energies from the Cosmic Cube. Watch out. Another Incursion might be imminent.

Black Panther:

Yes. I have located the Red Skull's base. He will not be using the Cosmic Cube for much longer.

Tony Stark:

Viper did us a favor. She slowed down his accumulation of energy, otherwise he would already be trying to crack Odin's barrier.

Black Panther:

He still will, if we do not stop him now.

Captain America:

I've got this one, T'Challa.

Black Panther:

We, Captain Rogers. We've got this one.

Captain America:

Then let's do it.

I think events have progressed beyond the purview of even your royal authority, T'Challa. And your remarkable though stupid loyalty, Rogers. Even now it begins!

Well, Steve, we think we know what Odin would do if someone broke through it, right?

And do we have a million Asgardians stomping us into the ground?

As near as we can tell, the barrier is still intact.

Black Panther:

That is good news. Very soon, HYDRA will be extinct in Wakanda.

Epic Boss - Man-Ape

Agent Coulson:

We shut down the Red Skull, but now we've got another problem. Man-Ape and the White Gorillas are attacking the HYDRA base where the Red Skull built his Incursion siphon.

Tony Stark:

Does he have a Cosmic Cube? If not, where's the problem?

Black Panther:

He will attempt to replicate the Red Skull's effect using White Gorilla sorcery. And because his reach eternally exceeds his grasp, he will cause a catastrophe. I will lead this response.

Maria Hill:

It's all yours, T'Challa. We're with you.

Black Panther:

I understand the Red Skull's willingness to sacrifice this nation for his own power, but you, M'Baku? Are you not also a son of Wakanda?

A truer son than you, T'Challa. And when I control the powers that HYDRA could not, the White Gorillas will take their place on the throne...where we have always belonged.

Man-Ape:

Black Panther:

Over what will you rule? The ashes left by Odin's armies? The ruins left by the Worthy's hammers?

I will rule! That is all that matters! Whatever powers I must twist to my own use, M'Baku will rule Wakanda!

Agent Coulson:

No, for the moment it looks like you have.

Perhaps. The White Gorillas are scattered. HYDRA is no longer present in Wakanda. This was a difficult battle...but with a good result.

Agent Coulson:

Glad we could help. Now if we could just find the Viper...

I hope we got all the best stuff on camera. People need to see heroes winning.

Maria Hill:

Saving the world isn't a branding exercise, Tony.

Tony Stark:

No, but if you're fighting fear, the best thing in the world you can do is show the people what they're afraid of...and then show them the good things that are stronger. And speaking of stronger, Viper's scheme gave me an idea. What if we could create our own version of the Worthy?

Maria Hill:

How would we do that?

Tony Stark:

I don't have a plan yet. All I have is an idea.

Agent Coulson:

We can consult with our Asgardian contingent. Maybe there's a precedent for this.

Maria Hill:

Consider it while we head to New York. Doctor Strange is hunting Mephisto there, and he's ready to let us in on what he's learned.

Mission 3

Mission Start

Tony Stark:

We're hunting the Hood. Doctor Strange has gotten some hints via little birdies in the astral plane that there's a deal in place involving the Hood, the Kingpin...and Mephisto.

Agent Coulson:

The exact details aren't clear yet, but we do know the Hood has wormed himself back into the Maggia again.

Maria Hill:

If we were just looking at a war among organized crime factions, that would be worth our teouble. But the involvement of the Hood and Mephisto suggests that we might be seeing another plan to escape this dimension.

Agent Coulson:

Until we figure out what Odin is doing and why, we can't provoke him. So we're going after the Hood first, and hoping he'll lead us to the other involved parties.

Maria Hill:

Ghost Rider has been hunting Mephisto. When he checks back in, we'll know more.

Well, it's even more wretched and villainous now. The Mandarin has figurd out a way to stop Incursions on his own, and every lowlife on Planet Earth is converging to see if they can hide under whatever umbrella he's building.

Madame Masque and Count Nefaria have established themselves in Madripoor's underworls. They are moving goods that end up in places known to be under the Mandarin's control.

Tony Stark:

We need to put a lid on this family affair, and fast, unless we want to be dealing with it while we face all eight Worthy.

Agent Coulson:

Tony Stark:

Right. So we are going to Madripoor with our proverbial guns blazing, and we are not leaving until we show the world that the Mandarin isn't going to protect them. We are.

I don't want to put a damper on the mood, but the Worthy have gathered in New York. They're being more obvious, spending more time destroying parts of the city...

Agent Coulson:

In short, they're paving the way for the Serpent to make his big wntrance after the teaser we got down in the Savage Land.

Tony Stark:

You know what I think? The Serpent's doing this because we've made a difference. We've shown people what S.H.I.E.L.D. can do when we stand together. That means we can keep doing it. We can weaken him. And when he comes out of his hole, we can destroy him...especially if project Mighty pays off.

Agent Coulson:
