There are five Classes in Marvel: Avengers Alliance. All Classes are strong against one other Class, and weak against another. Every Hero and Enemy can have a Class. Any without a Class are a Generalist, with no strengths or weaknesses. You can view the info before engaging combat by hovering on the character's Class or clicking the SHOW HELP button. There are six Classes in the game.

When a character with Class that is strong against the Class of the target, when attacking or being attacked, the character with strong Class has the advantage of attacking that Class and will gain their Class effects after attacking (i.e. Blaster attacking a Bruiser, guaranteed crits and ignore defense, and gains

Disadvantages for Dual-Class Heroes[]

  • In Class-restricted deploys, it can participate by either a primary Class or secondary Class, but not both.
  • In PVP hero bonuses, only the primary Class affects the stats instead of its both Classes.
  • In Team Page, when browsing for Heroes by Class, they can only be found by looking at the secondary Class instead of both.
  • When equipping a Class-restricted E-ISO-8, it can only use for primary Class instead of secondary Class. (i.e. Cloak and Dagger can only use Infiltrator-Class E-Iso's instead of Scrapper-Class E-Iso's)

Since August 14, 2015, heroes reaching Level 15 unlocks a unique Class ability appearing as a Multi-Action ability above the Recharge ability.

Multi-Class heroes will have access to two Class abilities as per their dual Class. Heroes able to switch their Class will switch to a different Class ability appropriate for their new Class. Each Class ability has shared cooldown.

Galactus with a different Class

  • On April 1, 2013, Marvel.com released an article that contains joke content for Marvel: Avengers Alliance. One of them was a playable Galactus that had an entirely different Class as part of the joke.
    • It was jokingly referred to as the "Planet Eater" Class in the Developer Q&A VI, where it was also mentioned that the Developers do not have any plans in adding another Class into the game.
