Special Operation 9 - Extremis

A.I.M. is trying to develop their own super-soldier, and for the first time it looks like they might actually have something that works. Pepper Potts to the Rescue!

Hero Rebalances

Iron Man

• New Passive: Auto-targeting Interface
  • Has a chance each turn to gain Targeting Assistance, which grant his attacks 100% chance to hit and crit, and gain True Strike, allowing him to ignore Avoidance effects on enemies.
• Repulsor Rays
  • Now cause Lock-On
    • Take additional damage from ranged attacks
• Missile Barrage
  • Chance to apply burning increased to 100%
• Deflector Shield
  • Now a Quick Action
  • Amount absorbed reduced slightly
• Unibeam
  • Unibeam Focus
    • No longer removed if Iron Man performs other actions, but still must be used at least once per round to keep up (in case Iron Man gets extra turns)
    • Now also increases his chance to hit and crit with Unibeam
• Damage of all moves adjusted accordingly

War Machine

War Machine now uses an ammo mechanic. His Repulsor Ray and Minigun Barrage require ammo (Charged Capacitor) to function, and will fire a number of times equal to the number of Charged Capacitors on War Machine. Each attack will consume one Charged Capacitor.

  • Chance to preemptively place Targeted on an enemy when they attack

  • Increases energy damage by 10%
  • Stacks up to 3 times
  • War Machine gains one stack of Charged Capacitor each round
• Repulsor Ray
  • Now causes Target Focus
    • Increases the damage of the next attack
  • Rapid Fire
    • Requires Ammo
    • Will fire until the enemy is defeated or War Machine runs out of ammo
• Minigun Barrage
  • No longer has a cooldown and is available from the start of the fight
  • Rapid Fire
    • Requires Ammo
    • Will fire until the enemy is defeated or War Machine runs out of ammo
• Overcharge
  • 3 round cooldown
  • Full Charge
    • Restores stamina to full
    • Gives full stacks of Charged Capacitor
  • Overheated
    • Drains all your stamina at the end of this turn
    • Prevents War Machine from gaining Charged Capacitors
    • Lasts 2 Rounds
• Damage of all moves adjusted accordingly

Iron Man Mk 42 (Iron Man Uniform)

Iron Man’s Mk 42 armor comes with a whole new suite of upgrades - not only giving Iron Man a passive effect, but wholly improving all of his existing moves!

Additional Items/Fixes

• Brand new players will be greeted with a pop-up that tells them how to find Spec Op 9 if they are coming to the game for the first time looking for Iron Man 3 content.
• Some cameo fights will now allow players to try out new costumes (as seen in Spec Op 9 missions with Iron Man Mk 42).
• For the Iron Patriot and Iron Man Mk 42 costumes you can see different abilities in the Team management page when you select them. This will expand to characters with more than 4 abilities (such as Punisher, Vision, and Omega Sentinel) in the near future. It will not affect the gameplay of these characters.
• Facebook-Only: Purchasing a new hero uniform will make a post to your wall to tell your friends about what you’ve just unlocked!
• Iron Man Mark 5 Armor has had its name changed to Iron Man Mk V Armor
• Buggy no longer has a chance to grant extra turns
• Fixed a bug where Hawkeye equipped with the Heroic Age costume would cause the game to become slow and unresponsive
• Added new icons to various status effects
