We're having another outbreak of Test Subjects in New York, this time over in some of the waterfront warehouses on the Hudson.

Tony Stark:

We need to contain it, and we need to trace the origin of this new variant. These carry a slightly different ISO-8 signature than previous Test Subject iterations That has us thinking that someone new is putting a stamp on the Mutant Growth Hormone/Iso-8 serum, or maybe another step in the process of their creation.

Agent Coulson:

Whatever's going on, we need to figure out what it is and put a stop to it.

Tony Stark:

As Agent Boy Scout says, yes. Get out there and give it the old college try.

A Test Subject blew up in one of the maintenance tunnels near the Metro-North tracks under Grand Central Station. We're looking at a major collapse unless Colossus can get there and stabilize the tunnel.

Colossus, we need someone who can hold up a zillion tons of steel and concrete while simultaneously absorbing hostile weapons fire.

Agent Coulson:

We're going to have to split up. Coulson, you and I will take a team to London and search for Beast. Professor Xavier, if you would accompany Agent Hill to San Francisco and pursue the search for Rogue...

We will leave immediately.

Tony Stark:

I guess I'll just stay here and participate vicariously via satellite hookup.

Nick Fury:

Hardly. I can't risk an international incident, so you're going to San Francisco with Cyclops, Havok, Black Panther, Gambit, X-23 and War Machine.

Tony Stark:

Oh, goody, I get to play too.

Nick Fury:

Cap, you take the ops lead for the London team, with Cable, Wolverine, Ms. Marvel, Iceman, Angel, and Captain Britain.

We've tracked Rogue to San Francisco, thanks to Professor Xavier's telepathic abilities.

Professor X:

I have been unable to narrow her location down more specifically than this area of the city. But she is here, and she is alive... ...although her psyche is under enormous stress.

Maria Hill:

As is to be expected, if either Sugar Man or Mr. Sinister have captured her.

Professor X:

Or both. We must prepare for the worst, which would be a return of Apocalypse. The signs, if you forgive the loaded language, are quite clear.

Maria Hill:

Toad and Living Pharaoh are also in San Francisco. It seems likely that they transported Rogue here. Track them down and you will find Rogue as well.

We located the transport used to bring Rogue here. Send a Bruiser to help recover it and bring it in for analysis.

There's a crashed Quinjet in the swamps at the sound end of San Francisco Bay.

Tony Stark:

We're pretty sure the Brotherhood used that Quinjet to transport Rogue before ditching it. Let's deploy a hero for guard duty until the recovery chopper arrives to retrieve it.

Here's what we know. Apocalypse has returned, and he's got four new horsemen ready to ride.

Captain America:

Iceman has become his Horseman of Death, back here in New York.

Nick Fury:

For Apocalypse, this is a test of who's fit to survive in his new mutant world. If we don't do something, a lot of people are going to die.

Captain America:

We've got another complication. Mobilized mutants have drawn the attention of Sentinels. They are deploying throughout the city, going after anyone they see as a threat to order... Mutants and Homo Sapiens alike.

Nick Fury:
