The streets of Hell's Kitchen are never exactly quiet... but in the last day or two they've gotten a lot noisier.

Tony Stark:

Boomerang and the Shocker went at it last night near Times Square, and witnesses heard Boomerang say he was sending a message from the Owl.

Nick Fury:

The Kingpin heard the message too, and he's taking direct action. He's on the streets taking out disloyal Maggia.

Tony Stark:

Long story short, we've got a gang war on our hands, and we don't know who all the involved parties are yet.

Agent Coulson:

Agent, meet Jessica Jones. She's leading our field response. We're pulling together all of our assets who are best qualified to handle street-level missions.

Jessica Jones:

Except Cage.

Maria Hill:

Yes. Except Cage. Sorry about that, Jessica.

Jessica Jones:

Never mind. Daredevil contacted me about the same time you did. We've brought in Misty Knight and the Punisher.

Nick Fury:

You sure you want to turn Frank loose? We're trying to keep the peace.

Jessica Jones:

He had already turned himself loose. Murdock and I tried to convince him to work with the team. We'll see how it goes.

Maria Hill:

Our first objective is to figure out who is on which side. Boomerang and the Owl are squared off against Shocker and Kingpin. That much we already know. But we're sure there are other parties involved.

Agent Coulson:

That's it, Agent. We're out there to keep the peace, but sometimes the best way to keep the peace is to knock some heads together.

Misty, we're going to need to coordinate with police and other first responders. Since you know people, maybe you can swing by the chief's office and give him a quick rundown on what we're doing.

Maria Hill:

Understood. We're sending someone along to take care of that.

The chief is briefed. He made a lot of noise about us staying out of his way and letting him do his job, but I think he's glad we're going to handle it.

I didn't. When I move it, I can feel weight shifting inside. It must contain some kind of fluid.

Can you get it here, Daredevil? No, scratch that. We've got a field team in the area. They'll pick it up from you so you can stay after the Maggia.

Daredevil:

Good. I'll meet them outside.

Stay on him. What's the status with Fisk? He's leaving a trail of pulp that used to be Maggia. Find him.

We've got the case Daredevil found back at the lab now. There are small vials of fluid inside.

Tony Stark:

Get a breakdown yesterday. I don't like it when the bad guys are running around with unidentified fluids.

I'll tell it myself. He got into my head and controlled me for a long time. He made me do... some things I wish I didn't remember. But thanks to Phoenix, he can't touch me anymore.

Tony Stark:

Let's hope that's still true, because he's clearly touching Boomerang.

Jessica Jones:

If we can douse Boomerang with this disruptor...

Agent Coulson:

Yeah. He'll know where Purple Man is. Let's do it.

What we want is for you to lead us on a nostalgic tour of the Maggia's favorite haunts that maybe we don't know about. See if Owl or Purple Man turn up.

Take him out. We'll start our own sweep for the others.

No, we're making it harder on Fisk. If we keep doing it, he'll have to break off his Maggia beatdowns and deal with us. If we can do that, having Fisk distracted might draw the Owl and Purple Man out into a direct attack. Then we have everyone where we can see them.

Misty Knight:

If you say so. Here comes the Vault taxi service. I'm moving out.

I found Shocker. He was coming out of Fisk's tower and a Maggia hit team jumped him. They need medical attention. I'm going after Shocker.

I can hear your vibrations from across town. You might as well be wearing a homing beacon.

No problem. Fisk said we'd have to take care of you sooner or later. Sooner suits me fine.

I know I did the right thing. That's not the problem. The problem is that people are still dying in Hell's Kitchen, and not all of them deserve it.

Maria Hill:

We've got Boomerang on the way back to the Helicarrier. If the pheromone disruptor protects him, he's going to give us good intel on where to find Owl and the Purple Man.

Tony Stark:

That'll speed up our endgame considerably, I would say.

Daredevil:

Good.

We are dosing our entire team with the pheromone disruptor. With any luck that will keep Purple Man out of our heads until we can track him down.

Agent Coulson:

Or at least until we restore some calm and we can figure out the best way to go after him and the Owl.

Nick Fury:

Good operational decision-making here. Pretty soon I'll be out of a job.

Tony Stark:

Fisk is going to have plenty to think about now that Purple Man's gotten to some of his flunkies.

Agent Coulson:

We're going to keep giving him more to think about. Stay on him, everyone. Engage whenever you see him until we can force him to make a stand.

Jessica Jones:

What's the status on Boomerang?

Tony Stark:

He's bitter, angry, and vengeful. Perfect for us. We can wind him up and turn him loose to go after Owl and Purple Man.

Maria Hill:

But is he going to turn on us later?

Tony Stark:

Doesn't that depend on who's throwing him? Boomerang's technique is tricky.

Jessica Jones:

I don't think we need to worry about that. Once you get Purple Man out of your head, he goes in the enemy column for good.

Kingpin might be out in the open still, but Killgrave is staying behind the scenes.

Tony Stark:

Is that his real name? I don't believe it. Just call him Purple Man.

Agent Coulson:

Purple Man got control of Hammerhead's guards and broke him out on the way to the Raft. We've got casualties, and Hammerhead's in the wind again.

Daredevil:

I'll find him.

Agent Coulson:

Also, our gangland rosters have shuffled. Misty Knight just saw Shocker turn on Hydro-Man and beat him half-dead. Misty, fill us in.

Misty Knight:

Fisk sent Shocker and Hydro-Man after the Beetle. Shocker laid Hydro-Man out and cut a deal with the Beetle. Then the two of them were there for Hammerhead's jailbreak. Now all three are going after Fisk. They must think Purple Man and Owl have the upper hand.

Maria Hill:

We're going to even the odds again. Cut out Shocker and Beetle, and Hammerhead. Then, whenever either Purple Man or the Kingpin is isolated, we'll make our decisive move.

The Maggia have trafficked in occult artifacts before, and Elsa Bloodstone suspects they're at it again. We don't know if Purple Man or the Kingpin are involved. She's going to break into a Maggia hideout and see what she can find.

Elsa Bloodstone:

As I'm sure you know, the Maggia's been very active smuggling occult items lately. Often in tandem with the Hand. I think they're still at it. If I can get into the sub-basement of this building, I'll know for sure.

Maria Hill:

Do you need backup?

Elsa Bloodstone:

No, it's better if I go in alone.

Dry hole, as they say. Nothing there.

Maria Hill:

So the Maggia are out of the occult smuggling business?

Elsa Bloodstone:

Hardly. They're just not storing anything here. The Hand connection is real. I'm going to stay on this trail.

Chase Stein just saw the Kingpin. Send him to try to keep visual contact.

Okay. Found him again. What now?

Tony Stark:

Maybe you could say hi. I think he likes you. Then apprehend him in the interests of justice or something.

Don't you want to send a big S.H.I.E.L.D. team so you can take all the credit?

Tony Stark:

I don't know. Do you want us to so you can have something to complain about?

Just so you know, I was taking Old Lace for a walk and we ran across the Kingpin. Same old Fisk. Except he was busy pounding on a bunch of Maggia gangsters. That was different.

Maria Hill:

Go after him, Chase!

Chase Stein:

Last time I chased the Kingpin around, you wanted me to stop! Why do we care if he goes after his own dudes?

Maria Hill:

Just go! Let us know if you make visual contact again.

We are deluged with reports of Kingpin sightings. A patrol cop just radioed in saying he'd arrested the Kingpin. Seems unlikely, but send a hero to check it out.

Agent Coulson:

We're hearing on the police radio that a patrol cop thinks he's arrested the Kingpin.

Tony Stark:

Is that possible? That's not possible.

Agent Coulson:

I doubt it, but someone better follow up.

He and Jessica are old friends, you know. Probably he just stopped by to see how she was doing, and... you know... lend a hand.

We'll be right there to handle Shocker, Danny. You can link up with Jessica and the rest of the team.

I found Hammerhead. He's loading a Maggia team into a van, presumable to go after Fisk.

Tony Stark:

Everyone's so excited to see Fisk out in the open, they all want a crack at him. It's like a holiday.

Agent Coulson:

He's all yours, Daredevil. Look out for Purple Man. I mean...

Daredevil:

I know what you mean.

Purple Man got you out of a jam, Hammerhead. What's he asking in return?

This is just the start. Purple Man's got big plans, and Nefaria's on board. You guys don't know what you got yourselves into.

Hammerhead:

Daredevil:

Maybe not. But I do know what you've gotten yourself into. The proverbial no-win situation.

Tell it to your guide dog.

Hammerhead:

The Kitchen won't be the same without you around... but we'll all get used to it. Ha!

Hammerhead:

Purple Man can't get at Jones anymore, but I hear he can get at you... better look out.

There were too many of them. I left some marks on Hammerhead, but he's on the move again.

Tony Stark:

Headed to meet Purple Man and the Owl, probably.

Or Count Nefaria. Or all of them. We've scratched the surface of something big here.

Agent Coulson:

Once we handle Fisk, we'll take stock of that situation, Daredevil. Our mission here is to restore some order to the streets. There's enough fear in the air without a gang war to add to it.

Daredevil:

Then I'll join in on the hunt for Fisk.

Agent Coulson:

We've pared the opposition down to the principals: Fisk on one side, Owl and Purple Man on the other. Since we still don't know where Owl and Purple Man are, we go after Fisk first.
